Most Improved Player - over the course of this past season
It doesn't seem like players improve much year to year, but my first thought goes to James White. He became a central part of our team this year.
I agree I think it's James White as well, He have a chance to best first team all conference next season if he can stay healthy.

James certainly made some improvement, and should make even more this next season. But if you consider late in the season, Mariek Isom really started to play well, and gives us hope for the future. And Stetson certainly made some strides.04-cheers

I was going to say Mareik as well. His improvement did not come until very late. Still, we all knew James was very good, but were unsure about Mareik. I'm pretty convinced now that he can be a great player for us.
Stetson is my sleeper that will be great for us next year. It my not always show up in the box scores but pay attention. Mareik is that diamond in the rough. I can't wait to see him play next season and the TWO YEARS after that.

I would go with Mareik, who really came on late, and DeVonte, who was on the bench at the start of the year.

Future looks really bright with James for 2 more years and Mareik for 3 more. Folks seem to believe next season is the key one for Steve and I don't necessarily disagree. If we have filled spots with the right Jucos, who can step in and contribute on the DI level, we should be really good next season.

On the surface, things look good, but you can't look too far ahead. You can't predict injuries, transfers, academic problems, romantic problems. All you can hope for is that these players return this next season and perform well. You just can't look too far into the future. I believe this team could be a top three finisher in conference play. Surely no worse than fourth. When you have good experienced guard play, you have a chance to be good if the inside players are just decent, and I think we could be pretty good in that respect next season. If all the pieces fall into place and there is good team chemistry, we should be a solid contender. Can we win it all? It's certainly possible.

Ga State looks like the cream of the crop right now but you can't predict their injuries or academic problems either. If their two horses remain healthy next year, they'll be tough to beat. As will ULL if they get all their players back. After that, we could be right up there in the hunt.04-cheers
Just read that Alfred Payton from ULL is going to the NBA, hate to see him go, but will give us an edge over them (in some of your minds.)

It is ours to lose at this point

It's been ours to lose every year and we've done a good job of doing it.

Well my "way to early prediction" for next season is now 2nd place, instead of third. Now just need Harrow to announce he is leaving.
Harrow or no Harrow I think we will win the conference next season. It's going to be because we will have a very deep bench. Our bench will have kids who can go somewhere else in conference and probably start. Let's hope Coach Shield allow this talent to play and not over coach. I think we will have 3 guys that will be all conference players if we put them in position to be successful. It's starts right now with offseason workouts.

I like your optimism, Isolater. Hope you are right.
