Cajuns Last 5 weeks: @ UTA vs Texas State, @ ASU, @ USA, vs ULM

Seeding's wise, those guys are 2-6 in the league standings. If the Cajuns are going to take some losses in league, this is the stretch where it will happen.

No doubt, it will definitely be tough down the stretch. If the Cajuns are going to prove they deserve a National seed, this is where they need to show it. They'll get to show what kind of road team they are, for sure, having played only two road conference series so far, at Troy and ULM, and 3 left at UTA, ASU, and USA.

Hopefully, with some pitchers becoming healthy will help, Milhorn is back and I'm not sure when Robichaux will be back from his tendonitis, but I'm sure it will be soon

One good thing is that we have only one more 5 game week and one 4 game week left which should help the pitching staff. Those 5 game weeks are brutal, but at least alot of pitchers get some game time work and experience.

Of coarse, the 5 game week includes the ASU road series and the 4 game one includes the Texas St. series.

It's definitely going to be tough.

How the teams ahead of UL in RPI did this past week 4/8-4/13

1 South Carolina 2-2
2 Florida St. 1-3
3 Houston 1-3
4 Kentucky 1-3
5 Texas 3-1
6 UL 4-1

So hopefully UL's RPI will move up this week. I hope I don't jinx them. Seems we lose right after moving up, at least in the rankings, the RPI has been pretty steady but this is a good time to make a jump.

The loss to UNO knocked us from 6 to 13. We've climbed back to 7.

Is that by Warren Nolans' s live RPI?.

I guess I was talking about our weekly RPI at
http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/baseball/d1/rpi

Like you said we started the week at 6 and ended at 7 according to his site

I like to check the RPI weekly, because a loss at the beginning of the week will drop your RPI like it did with UNO, but winning a weekend series will bring it back up.

So essentially it remained pretty steady for the week. That's why I check it from week to week.

Like on 4/8 the NCAA site had us at 6, so when it comes out tomorrow for this past week, hopefully we will be higher than 6 with the bad weeks teams ahead of us had with the exception of Texas..

I know alot goes into calculating the RPI, so we might not move much since our SOS is 110.

I act like I know what I'm talking about or something:)

I don't have your patience. I check it about every 3 1/2 minutes, but only if I'm awake. BTW, Warren Nolan's calc has had us at No. 1 in RPI for some time now.

But the Cajuns' actual RPI is substantially lower than before the UNO game. The Cajuns have climbed back into the rankings because teams around them have been losing in droves.

The RPIs for the Top 8 RPI are substantially lower at present than at this time last season. In fact, the Top 8 RPI has lost a stunning 20 more games (64) this year than last season at this time.
