Here are the RPIs (Warren Nolan)

7 Louisiana
55 Arkansas St.
58 Western Kentucky
98 Texas St.
127 South Alabama
129 ULM
133 Troy
144 UALR
151 Ga. State
178 Texas-Arlington

If the season ended today based on the above RPIs Louisiana in all likelihood would be on the only Sun Belt team in postseason.

I am hoping a 2nd team can make a run and get in. I think it is still possible.

It's looking that way. The SBC standings look a lot like the final football standings with a bunch of .500 teams. Georgia Southern would be the only possible entry if they were playing SBC baseball right now..
ASU and WKU have the best chances. WKU has an easier conference stretch left, while a team like ASU could still theoretically pull it off because we still have a 3 game set against the Cajuns.

If either team goes on a serious run, winning a ton of games, I could see an at large potentially. Though as an ASU fan, my primary goal right now is to finish in a different tournament 4 team bracket from ULL.
But of course TXST drops both series to ULM & USA. We drop to 3rd and UTA whom we swept is in 4th now. ULL is the only team that's doing well imo. And they are doing more than just well.
For Sun Belt tourney is it a straight 8 team DE tourney or is it 2 4-team DE with the winners of each 4 team group playing each other for championship?

You can probably scratch Ga. Southern from any chance of an at-large as our RPI has dropped to 113 now. We have some good wins over top 50-60 schools but we have too many bad losses to teams we should not be losing to.

You have 19 games left, 3 against us when our starting rotation should be back in tact and you have too many bad losses already. I afraid, the only shot is winning the Conference Tourney. As for staying out of our Bracket, you are currently on that path. We really need a second team in the regionals..
Louisiana has a shot at a top 8 seed at this point. That would be quite an advantage for Louisiana if they can get it. It will be hard for the NCAA to ignore a team for a top 8 seed who is ranked in the top 5 in virtually every poll.

I would think your RPI would be better if you were playing SBC ball this year. But your right, some bad losses make it tough regardless.

Make that top 3 in EVERY poll last week. Lots of losses in the top 10 this week should keep us up there despite the UNO loss. This team is downright scary..
I hope Louisiana gets a top 8 seed and thus a regional host and if they win a Super Regional host. I also hope a 2nd Sun Belt team can get in.

The Cajuns haven't won many SBC Baseball Tournaments, so I'm not sure that will change this year just because of the top ranking. WKU and Astate just need to keep playing well going into the tournament.

Outside of the UAM game...we don't have a bad loss.

That UNO loss was a ball-buster, dropping the Cajuns from #6 down to #13. With the MickeyNeese win and the sweep of UALR, we've climbed back to #7. I guess I should just look on the bright side and hope that the UNO loss was a wake-up call for the boys.

And yeah, the polls should be interesting this week as there were lots of losses sprinkled amongst the top 5.

That's nice. If they can win the Sun Belt baseball tournament this year, then C-USA can have two reps in the playoffs.04-cheers
