I have no idea how these rankings were done but I would assume Fritz is ranked above others because he has been a head coach for many years (albeit at lower levels than FBS) and has had success.
Willie Fritz lol - come on! How much more than Blake Anderson does he make?
I don't think it is a ranking of salaries but of what Athlon thinks of the quality of the coaching ability.

Yeah well our AD made a similar judgement and hired Anderson instead of Fritz . . .
Those are odd rankings...especially since they seem to be passed on previous coaching success. Its hard to judge a first year coach.
It's a silly ranking, judging Scott on a transitional year in FCS with players who were recruited by Moore and with abunch of red shirts, and considering he beat the teams it was most important to, I don't consider him all that bad

Huh, I can honestly say that I didn't expect Fritz to be that high on the list. It's certainly interesting... I'm not sure how they came up with it, but whatever. I'll take it!

Dude has a solid track record as a HEAD coach. I know alot of coaches that under perform their pay checks bruh.

Soooo your AD is is the end all be all on coaching talent.....ok. Its just one poll from one source no need to get all defensive. Fritz has turned around every program he has been a HEAD coach at, so tangible results to based a ranking on. New HEAD coaches are not going to be given the same respect. Chill bruh

Fritz is great at turning schools around, and working in transition. Hence why he would never fit at Arkansas State. We're not looking someone to turn us around. We're looking for someone to keep us going.

As long as our current administration is here, we will always hire young up and comers.

Seems to be working. Your success has been great for the Belt.

Not really. They admit that part of it is the reputation of the school in terms of what a coach has to work with.

It's basically a mish-mash of criteria. If Paul Petrino had gotten the Arkansas job he wouldn't be ranked where he is even if he had won zero games.

It's just another silly subjective ranking.
Interesing to see Fritz higher than Monken who is at 101.
It should just say "stAte coach" at #1.

I never knew HC were measured by salaries. I'm more about wins and how many wins does Anderson have as a HC at any level? Let me help you, zero! You guys may have gotta a steal with him, but Astate may also have taken a huge risk with a another OC with zero HC experience. Give me a coach that has a winning record at every level and ever stop over an OC or DC from a decent BCS program.

Why, has he won anything? Anything?

No reason to be so sensitive. I was joking since we have a new coach every year and he wins the title. The name is different but the result is the same kind of thing.

I know and I'm pulling your string too! Can't I help a little brother out every once in a while? :)
Seriously. Who cares. It is yet another entirely subjective off-season list weighted toward the P5.
