That's a devious little twist I hadn't thought of.

This all reminds me of my good buddy who graduated from a school "to the south". He explained to me how it's done. You don't give money (cash) to the kid. You don't give money to mama or daddy. You give it to their preacher. It is a donation to their community. How the church disperses it's funds (especially cash) is a convoluted affair no one will ever really figure out.

I'm sure he doesn't mean what you infer, but rather the fact that with this stuff going on, the rich (SEC schools) get richer (all the good players), and the poor (G5 schools with no secret boosters willing to spend big cash) tread water or die.
