There may come a day when B1G invites UConn to join. I think that is several (8+) years in the future, under any scenario. Unlikely, IMHO, but I admit it's possible.
However, if and when that happens, renting office space in Manhattan will have nothing to do it.

again I say:
uconns enrollment is smaller than any b10 school, their endowment is 500 mill lower than any b10 or future b10 school and over 1.5 billion below the b10 average.
No public b10 school has a stronger USNRW ranking than their ARWU ranking ==> uconn does.

Iowa enrollment = 31,498

lmao. are you seriously using the uconn system enrollment figure not the storrs figure??? because that is pretty hilarious......and pretty convenient for you. but congrats for having 1k more students than a private school (a school whose endowment is 7.5 billion more than yours)

UConn's main campus is 18k undergrad at Storrs

Nebraska is 24.5k at Lincoln (they have another 22k students at Omaha + Kearney)

John would have been correct stating UConn would be the smallest Public school in the B1G.

You're manipulating your numbers (inconvenient thing)
your 18k at UConn is undergrad
your 24.5k at UNL is undergrad and post grad

But even if UNL was smaller than UConn, it would remain the fact that UNL is a two-time football dynasty program, and UConn is not, so they are not really comparable expansions.
On the original post, (1) office locations are not what determines contiguity and (2) if the Big Ten really wants an add, they'll overlook contiguity, but UConn is not the kind of school they really want.

UConn has more Grad Students they're probably about the same in enrollment. I thought the UConn "system" was just Storrs and the Medical School.

I give up...LOL
Thought 24k was undergrad....but as UCF fans do...you count every living student at all commuter, offsite locations...so Nebraska would have like 50k students and SUNY Buffalo would have like 150k since they are the self-annoited flagship of NY and all SUNY campuses fall under them.

True...but Melky mixed his numbers to make UConn look bigger.
the highest figure for the storrs campus has been 22k ==> and that came from the uconn website. melkey (conveniently) added 8k to the real number
