Odd how things transpire. The ACC stuck it's thumb in the Big East Pie and pulled out what it thought was the plum (perenially top ten ranked Virginia Tech and Miami) and said, "what a good boy am I". Seems the plums have soured. Both Miami and Virginia Tech will be out of the rankings next week. Who would have imagined...but Karma is a motherfuya. When you do wrong, you get wrong in return and both the ACC and those teams are catching hell for the wrong they did to the Big East. I know eventually they will recover...but the football Gods have knocked the once mighty to their knees. This gives us a chance to build up and have teams to step up. Karma makes everything even in the end.
It's turned out to be a win/win situation for all involved, with the exception of our unbalanced schedule. I'm happy for both conferences.

Me too. The ACC switched place with the BEast. It couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of guys. 04-rock
LOL
Think the Orange Bowl is enjoying maybe having Boston college as the ACC champion come to Miami. They blew it, they could have stayed with the choice of choosing the ACC or BE champion for theit Bowl instead they chose to narrow it down to one. I HOPE BC or wake Forest end up in the OB.

I never even thought of that possibility. But it would be the perfect topping to the season. 02-13-banana
It will probably be Georgia Tech. I don't think they will lose another game. Nobody else in the conference is strong enough.

Has or does GT play Clemson?
I am unsure if Georgia Tech and Clemson play during the regular season, and I am not going out of my way to look up ACC schedules, but they would definitely play in the ACC title game if both of them win their respective divisions.

North Carolina State is actually in control of the Atlantic Division today at 2-0 (3-2). Then come Clemson at 3-1 (6-1), BC at 2-1 (5-1), and Wake Forest at 1-1 (5-1). Florida State at 1-2 (3-2) and Maryland 0-1 (3-2) bring up the rear.

Georgia Tech, as noted, has the upper hand in the Coastal Division at 3-0 (5-1). Then come Virginia Tech at 2-2 (4-2), Miami at 1-1 (3-2), and Virginia at 1-1 (2-4). North Carolina at 0-3 (1-4) and Duke at 0-3 (0-5) are parked out back.

I do know one thing. The ACC better only have three ranked teams this week - #12 Clemson, #13/#15 Georgia Tech, and #25 BC - with no chicanery from the pollsters. Wake Forest beating NCSU could vault them up there though.
Georgia Tech and Clemson play not tomorrow but the following Saturday.
The game is at Clemson, but that shouldn't make any difference to the Ramblin' Wreck.
