Evan Gattis' background is pretty unique. Sometimes it's tough to remember that student-athletes have normal backgrounds and even an innocent comment on a message board can deeply hurt someone.

That is an amazing story. Thanks for posting it. It will be hard to root against that guy - even when he plays my Cardinals. I hope he has a long and successful career.
