Thanks for posting! Brings back so many memories. I was one excited 9 year-old at the half. Then reduced to tears at the end. That may have been the first time I ever uttered a cuss word -- directed at Walton and the refs that let him get away with murder. I also lost my innocence that night, realizing that the referees were out to get my beloved (non-blue blood) Tigers. Alas, some things never change. LOL
Thanks for posting. I wish Big Jack was still the voice, or at least someone like him. Great Scott!!!
I wish there were some other games available to listen to. Anyone know if there are some more Tiger games to hear? Sure would love to relive them again. Big Jack is awesome.

I've been griping about that same thing since 1973. Walton played almost all the second half with 4 fouls, but Kenon was in foul trouble to which Bartow chose not to keep feeding him the ball in the post. Refs were absolutely not going to call Walton for no. 5 if he'd pistol whipped a Tiger player. I did a little cussing that night too and have never thought refs were honest ever since.
The day I became a Tiger fan. My fraternity brother, Senator Jim Kyle, had us huddle in the den and watch the game. I moved to Memphis two years later and have been hooked ever since.
Thanks Big Irv. Great to hear Jack's voice again. I've still got some old Commercial Appeals that I had saved from the Tigers march through the tournament back then. It was magic, but then all the Final Fours have been magical.

TripleA or TigerJeb are probably your best sources for Tiger archives.
Great, great stuff.
This guy has Big Jack audio from all the 73 tournament games:
