I hope either USM or La Tech wins it. Tired of the disrespect of CUSA.

At this point winning in the "other" post-season tournaments is the best way to open some eyes (and minds)...

BTW, SMIss leading Missouri 61-52 at 7:02 mark of 2nd half
The only way C-USA earns respect is by winning NCAA tourney games... NIT won't do it. C-USA 3.0 didn't even have a team in the tourney this year.

ODU L in round of 32 in 2010
UAB L in round of 32 in 2005
Charlotte L in round of 32 in 2001
UTSA won the play in game in 2011
WKU L in round of 32 in 2009

I believe Memphis was the only C-USA 2.0 team to win a NCAA game... but I may be wrong on that one.

WKU and UAB are the only 2 teams to make a sweet 16 run in the last decade. 2008 and 2004 respectively.
Wichita State's NIT Championship set them up nicely for their next two seasons.
There apparently is a good deal of respect for individual teams in lesser conferences because so many of them have been added to "power conferences" during realignment and a number of their coaches have been elevated as well (a few individually and some with their teams). Because the "traffic" is always "one way" in realignment, when conferences like ours replace lost teams, it is always by bringing in those from other lesser conferences.

It takes time for a newly composed conference to get everything sorted out and C-USA is no exception. We should give the process time to work out - better coaches and better recruiting (see UAB's recent upgrade in both for example) take time to bear fruit. I remain convinced that when our new & improved facilities come on line, we will break out into a better place. Keep in mind that the same thing will be happening at many other schools as well.
Tell Cincinnati and Connecticut that it is only one way.

Which of those would swap places with UAB for next season?

That' not what he meant, and you should know it.
I'm just saying that unless you are a fan of those schools, you couldn't tell me who won the NIT over the last 5 years.

I probably couldn't give you a 100% correct and complete answer, but I'd get most of the teams off the top of my head, I'd bet.

It did set them up for the future, but I don't think it earned them any extra respect. Only winning NCAA tournament games does that.
