"Sooner or later, to win, you've got to make something" (perimeter shots)

A good coach should be able to analyze the game more in depth than saying you've got to make shots (or 3s).
They were 0 - 10 in 3 point shots. Incredible

And it sounded terrible. What a terrible loser. The guy is a first class jerk. Always has been.
Reminds me a little of our 1986 team. That team started 20 and 0, 22 and 1, and then fell apart much the same way

Hall of Fame coach, one of the best. Funny, too.

Is he any good? I assumed he was an idiot because he said they have to make shots, and everyone knows you don't have to make shots to win basketball games, so any coach who says that is stupid.
Wow

If CJP rips off Boeheim, I'm good with that.

I see what you did there. 04-cheers

No no, it's not that...he didn't make any adjustments.
That Boeheim guy sounds like a Negative Nellie.
Amazing how some of these posters not only know more about basketball than Pastner but they know more than Boeheim. I'm really impressed.
LOL...Some of you guys don't quit.
Shots go in, you win, pretty simply really.

Perimeter opens up the inside.

Boeheim understands basketball and is one of the best. Yes he can be a jerk, but look where he has spent his career. I imagine it'll toughen you up a little bit.

Maybe CJP does have a legit answer if you are taking good shots with good shooters in rhythm and they aren't falling.
This place is either full of adolescent boys or it's a nursing home convention lol. The maturity level is astonishing.

Fact is, today's is pastners chance to make his first career defining win and shut up all the negativity. Can he do it?
I bet he says that after every game too.

Nah probably not
Every time another team loses or a coach says something remotely close to Pastner's talking points one of these threads pop up.

Not sure which is worse, these or the "fire him" threads.

Looking forward to a great game this evening, win or loss.

You mean we BEAT GW? Reading this board I could hardly tell. Maybe this place is what Josh is REALLY talking about. The whole time I've been thinking he's been talking about John Rainey.

That team did go from 20-0 to 28-6 but they had to play LSU on their homecourt in the 2nd round of the tournament.I'm glad that nonsense is in the past at least in the men's tournament.
Did he say it after every loss?
