Just hit a big 3 for SLU in the St. Louis-NC State game to get them within 2 under a minute left. Looks completely different now - has long hair instead of the buzz cut. Seems like it was forever ago he was at UT (09-10)
Was just going to post something like that.
Still baffles me how he couldn't break into their starting line-up over the course of 4 years.
McBroom for SLU, didn't he play at CMU?

Yep, in '11-'12.
I was going to post something about this too. Could you guys imagine the possibilities this Toledo team could have had if all of these players would have stayed. I can think of Barnett, Neil Watson...hmm I'm sure there's at least one more. We would have had so much depth, it would have been very hard to stop us. MAC champs and making a run in the Big Dance, I'd put money on that one.

Barnett wouldn't be playing this year - had to sit out a year due to transferring and this is his 5th yr. Not sure about Watson - might be the same,

Possible if they had redshirted and we didn't get, say, Aubrey and Lemons. BTW, it appears that Barnett did start tonight. His shooting since leaving Toledo has been abysmal.

UT would not have redshirted Barnett.

Also, Barnett was clean-cut at UT & he was almost not recognizable tonight. BusDriver and I had a good laugh about his looks (Bus didn't recognize Barnett until I texted him).

No, probably not but that makes the scenario possible.
Cross gets plenty of blame for his recruiting (among other things) but in reality Watson, Barnett, and Freelove were all legit division I players. No one seems to want to criticize Coach K but maybe he made a rush to judgment a bit too quickly about what he inherited.

Hard to tell because we will never know the full stories on any of those guys. No clue what their academics or attitudes were like.

Barnett left on his own,not sure about Watson. Freelove showed nothing here and bounced around-definitely had the athleticism.
