I find it odd that both the football and basketball season ticket renewal dates are on May 1, 2014. Makes budgeting a little hairy! This is the first time I remember this happening for renewals.

Basketball is early because of the reseating this year.

Maybe this is my chance to move up in the rankings and actually IMPROVE my seat this time! Every other reseating since the TED opened has resulted in my seat getting a little higher and a little farther away from mid court...

i doubled my donation, if i don't get a tailgating spot this year i quit lol.
I got my 110% license plate frame. My son did something with it who knows.

I've started throwing a bit at it monthly now so it isn't as big a dent.

I got mine too. The url flanked by ODAF logos. COGS
Now I'm confused. Not exactly a man bites dog moment but....

Tomorrow is the deadline for renewals of football and basketball season tickets. It is also a deadline for pledges to ODAF and 50% payments. You supposedly can't retain your football seats unless your pledge is at the same level as last year. That would be true for hoops too but that this is a reseating year but there must be some relationship between pledge, payment for tickets and the deadline. Despite all this, the last time I checked only 1600+ folks had their money in the pot. Last year there were 3300+ ODAF members. Is everyone waiting until the last moment? I can't believe that with our overall success level that we wouldn't approach a high renewal rate for both ODAF and season tickets. So what's up?

I noticed that as well. Kind of scary if the figure is correct.
However, web-published ODAF numbers have lagged real time numbers in the past, and ODAF has been known to have arithmetical errors with personal accounts.

Curiously, I successfully renewed my football tickets before I made my ODAF pledge/contri.
Would they have just not sent my tickets and credited back to my card if I didn't pay up by May 1? 04-jawdrop
Hmm, so pledge set and 50% due tomorrow and the purchase (or payment plan) of season tix tomorrow by tomorrow. I just paid up to the 50% mark and paid in full on the CC and it's at 1873 members.
It says it's updated nightly, so we may have to wait until tomorrow morning to see what the final tally is. I'm guessing lots of people are waiting until the bitter end. Of course I almost forgot all about it so I went ahead and did mine a couple nights ago.

NO!!!!

I'm shocked and stunned to hear this.
Funny how my points on the Website are always lower then the information I get in the mail.
Would not have thought that snail mail would have better news.

I just (30th @ 5:00pm) checked my account, and it still showed the 1873 number. I suspect it has not been updated in a while, and tomorrow we will see a huge jump. You have to know that if the numbers were actually that low, we would be hearing continuous wailing and gnashing of teeth emanating from the ODAF offices. (or maybe just a letter or two and a couple of phone calls!)

I did get a phone call. I didn't make my ODAF contribution until yesterday morning. I got a phone call in the afternoon; he said from a list that was updated the previous day (Monday).

EDIT: Maybe that was because I had previously renewed my football tickets
When we were all frantic at football reseating I called numerous times. The deadline is tomorrow but, as explained during FB reseating mania, they still get payments by mail that are accepted if postmarked May 1st. So it could be a few days before legitimately timed donations are credited.

Also, if you're like me, monthly installment folks' accounts will never be accurate online till the end of the year. They adjust monthly donaters accounts "by hand" during reseating years to update the "this years" donation to a full 12 months of payments. Then they also have to "by hand" adjust the consecutive years points and total "forever" ODAF donations.

Casey said the computer program was flawed and did not include an automatic adjustment for installment donors. He said the program was so expensive they couldn't trash it and pay for a new one. I said they should give it to the ODU MIS or whatever department can handle it to make a yearlong problem for the students to fix or do new program!!

What I've done is on my on take my points that came in the snail mail brochure and crank in my points (using the point system chart) reflecting my total donation for the year, overall "forever" donation and bonus points for consecutive years ODAF donations. During FB reseating using that method I came up within a half a point of ODAf's "hand" adjustment for my FB seating appointment. Then when this years pamphlet came reflecting all of 2013 points it matched exactly.
arithmetical------ gotta love it Stephen Colbert!!

What...I missed the reference....03-hissyfit
I just looked at ODAF, it is up to 1905.
I notice my point total does not include this year's football tickets nor consecutive years season tickets. I guess that will come later.

Although it doesn't matter until reseating again, as I think tailgate lots are based only on the current year donation.

Good luck on that. Mine is finally OK but it took many phone calls and a few nasty emails over 1 1/2 months. It's actually inexcusable.
