Quote:It gets even creepier when you look at their website. On the main page, they open up encouraging mothers to play the game with their kids where they basically nag them incessantly until they finally give in.
In the center of the page, it lists all the social media platforms on which the moms will be offered training on how to most effectively use it to nag their children. The ultimate goal? Get your adult children to sign up for the unaffordable ‘Affordable Care Act’ by stalking nagging them on numerous social media.
On each social media tutorial, they explain how to set up the account and proceed to also tell them what is done on each. The first post on every platform that Rhode Island encourages is to write ‘Buy Health Insurance.’ The suggestion for Tinder is the ultimate in stalking. For this social media platform, moms are told to log into or create a Facebook account, link it with Tinder, add a Facebook type profile pic in which they are hold a sign that says ‘Get Health Insurance.’ The moms are then told to go like all the posts on Facebook that their adult child likes so that they will see it over and over again.
This entire Nag Toolkit campaign has been revealed awfully close to Michelle Obama’s ‘We nag you because we love you’ video. That makes one wonder what kind of nag talk has been going on behind the scenes regarding Obamacare signup strategy
