Cheers for all our conference mates!!
Good luck to all conference teams in postseason tournaments!
6 teams get first round home games, nice !
Are you sure that Southern Miss & LT host? Lower seeds don't automatically host in the NIT.

Higher seeds (3 is higher than 6) host unless there is a building conflict like Kentucky had when it got shipped to Robert Morris last year.

They do, unless there's some conflict.
Tech is already selling tickets for Wed. night.
Of course LA Tech and USM are hosting the first round since they are higher seeds.
What's up with Middle Tenn.?

MU ATO is correct. If you check the NIT bracket, you'll see that hosts are shown in BOLD ALL CAPS. This year's NIT has one case of a higher seed hosting: 7-seed Boston U. is hosting the higher 3-seed, Illinois, because the Illini's State Farm Center home court is undergoing a $157 million renovation.
I've heard of mid major teams getting snubbed by the NCAA tourney but now our conference is getting snubbed by the NIT?

We have hit a new low.

Yes they do. Unless the higher seed has a conflict that prevents hosting (like Kentucky last season).

But Illinois has the choice of hosting at a different site. They apparently didn't want to go through the trouble to find another venue.
I meant that it's not a given not that the host would be forced.
04-cheers
Pirates are done :(

Good luck to the next wave of post season games.
