--------------8 -10:30pm NC State vs Xavier
Wednesday-5:30 -8pm Cal Poly - SLO vs TX Southern
--------------8 - 10:30pm Iowa vs UTK
I don't miss that scowl
Oh how can you not love a face like that. Texas Southern not looking so hot on defense in the first 20.
So in other words, Davis is doing what he always does when big games come along
tx southern falling apart in the last 2 min.

Sounds about right.
Aaric Murray for Texas Southern had a 38 point game in the loss.
Davis was part of history yet again.

This is Cal Poly's first ever NCAA tourney win.
Cal Poly has a losing record at 14-19. There have been 23 teams with losing records to play in the Big Dance since 1955. Only three had won in the first round.

Furthermore, the 81 points by Cal Poly were their second highest point total of the year.

Both teams shot well from the free throw line - 77.3%.
Typical MD. Build expectations then crash.
They showed a tweet from one of the Tx Southern players before the game talking about how nervous he was, they never stood a chance.
Cal Poly became the first team in 59 years with 19 losses to win an NCAA Tournament game.

Bradley (7-19) won a Big Dance game in 1955.

But that's not really fair...the large majority of bad teams since then didn't have the luxury of playing another 16

True, but facts are facts.

True, but facts are facts.

If you want to stick to "facts", it is probably also a fact that the least financed California school has much more funding than the best funded SWAC program. We were shown on TV the situation at Grambling, but we were not shown how they compared to the rest of its fellow conference member's facilities.

Someone with more BB history knowledge can tell us which SWAC members have made the "Sweet 16" in the past decade, or even won one game.

If it is a fact, then it is not probably.

In 1992, the entire Sweet 16 was made up of SWAC members. That was the year that Georgia A&M won it all.

You are correct -- I put the "probably" in the wrong part of the sentence. Now deal with the significance of the content rather than the sentence structure.
Deal with the significance that most people find your sentence structure more interesting than your content

As far as funding Grambling ranks near the bottom of the SWAC. Grambling has a lot of tradition and is known for NFL hall of famers but they've always done more with less. The SWAC is only 5-34 all-time in the big dance with the last win in the round of 64 being in 1993 when Southern beat Georgia Tech.
