You can click the 2014 Spring Roster but it's still showing 2013.
First new thing for this season kind of announced...

The Huskie Bowl will be a chance to get a sneak peek at some of the gameday improvements planned for 2014, including "The Yard at Huskie Stadium," the official pregame tailgate area with music, food and beer for purchase, kids' games and more. Become a donor, or renew your donation to the Huskie Athletic Fund prior to April 19, or even on that day, and attend the exclusive post-game reception with the football coaches and staff. More details on the Huskie Bowl activities, the new Huskie Athletic Fund, "The Yard" and premium seating areas will be available through NIUHuskies.com and the new HuskieAthleticFund.com website.

I am interested in what new premium seating they come up with.
Whats "The Yard"?

"the official pregame tailgate area with music, food and beer for purchase, kids' games and more."

It sounds like the previous years fatty's food tent, Oktoberfest and pup club area to me.

There is nothing implied about Fatty's still providing (or not providing) food. It appears they just gave the area a name. I guess the yard is a place for the Huskies to roam off leash.

If I do a doo-doo there, will somebody clean up after me?
I bet The Yard is similar to this

Badgerville http://www.uwbadgers.com/genrel/badgerville.html
Grass field north of Camp Randall
The official pregame event of Wisconsin Athletics, Badgerville is free and open to the public. Open 2.5 hours before kick-off, Badgerville is located on the grass field just north of Camp Randall Stadium along Breese Terrace. A family event, Badgerville features great food and entertainment including music, an appearance by members of the UW Band and activities for kids, including inflatable games. (Badgerville is not scheduled for every home game, see website for schedule).

It sounds exactly what we had last season plus the pup club area that was missing last season. Its just giving the area a formal name...which IS needed.
Also needs to be run by NIU not a local bar...

NIU athletics need to be in charge of it so they can respond to comments by NIU ticket holders and donors.
How is the 2014 roster not up yet? That link has been posted for a week or so.

I saw David Senior tweeted a picture of his NIU website bio so obviously they have them done...

The bar might do a better job of it, if there's money to be made.
Problem with a bar is that they are promoting their agenda and not NIUs

Yea I know, just sayin...
Agendas can be controlled. A competitive process could lead to big $ for NIU.
Roster is showing 2014...

As long as they at least break even it should be about giving the tent people a good time.

Not having people with explosive diarrhea the next day so they don't want to come back is not the way to go if that is how money is made.

*Fatty's didn't run the food when this happened to my co-workers*

I like that too.. or bidding for each game too. That way they could figure out in the first few years who is doing the best job.
