David Knox is a MORON. Why would anyone pay him any attention? This is the way I see it: Better Players = A Better Coach = Better Results = A Better Program. And Better Players are On The Way.
Just to point out, he has been a season ticket holder & fan for as long as I have been.

Not saying he is or isn't right (or wrong).

I think most of us expected better things this year with expectations being that we would be in the top 4 or 5 teams in the league.

That was before the remaining Mike Davis recruits went into the can.
Signing Ha Ha Lee bought Haase some time with me. Landing a good point guard in the next couple of months would help even more.

HOWEVER, I gotta point out:

Haase will be the first UAB men's basketball head coach to not get his team into the NCAA or NIT tournaments by his second season.

Haase set the dubious record of five conference home losses in a season. Murry has the title for worst overall conference record at 6-10 but his schedule was much tougher.

The team was much better in November than it was in February. There needs to be a positive correlation between performance and the time spent with the staff. Of all our seniors that were here for both Haase years, did any of them get better? It troubles me that they didn't and each seemed to end their careers struggling.

Haase has made some big strides in recruiting for UAB and for now that is enough. He is going to have to show he can develop players season to season or that talent will underachieve.
There was top 5 CUSA talent on this team. To say this squad underperformed is an understatement.
If we truly had Top Five talent, our season record is pretty much the definition of underperforming.

Personally, I think we had some strong roleplayers and a couple of pretty good ones. The lack of a true PG just killed us though.
