One of his assistant coaches was LaMonta Stone, who also had coached at EMU.

LaMonta has a son, LaMonta II (I believe) who is supposedly a very good basketball players.

We don't have any vacancies on the staff, but if we did, I'd like to see LaMonta back at EMU.

LaMonte is a good guy, coached River Rouge to a state title a few years back.

His son is being recruited by EMU amongst others and is reputedly a bigtime PG although he's only about 5-8. ala Boykins.

I don't think BG is in the recruiting picture now. Stone, the player is only a JR this year and plays in and around Bowling Green/Toledo OHL

Technically he was not fired. His contract expired and was not renewed.

Couple others:

I believe Ben Braun is in trouble at Rice.

The HC at Va Tech will probably get fired, presumably after being ousted from the ACC tourney. Andy Moore is on that staff.

So maybe LaMonta Stone, Ben Braun and Andy Moore might be looking for jobs very soon.
