putting less emphasis on the RPI than in the past? Guys like Lunardi and Palm have Arkansas in with an RPI of 62 or so. That wouldn't have gotten them near the bubble in past years. Are they using this new BPI that ESPN created? Wondered if your son might have some inside info about this type of thing.

I wish I knew the answer to this Question, but unfortunately I don't. I think those guys are giving Arkansas big credit for those two Kentucky wins. Not sure it is as deserved this year as much as some in the past. I really think Kentucky has been way overrated all year.
I figure going to 68 teams has expanded things a bit.

Still, about 20 spots, go to lower ranked teams from midmajor or low major conferences. So if they went straight by the RPI you would have to be in the Top 50 to get in. Obviously they don't, but they used follow it pretty darn closely.

They follow and cite the RPI when it suits their agenda and ignore it when it doesn't.
