...and the regular season's a wrap. 5th place in the NCHC (via tiebreaker) after a hard series in Grand Forks.

I'm sure we're kicking ourselves over at least one of the home losses to Minnesota-Duluth. That said, we've been good on the road this year.

Guess we'll see if that continues this weekend in Duluth!

How about only getting 2 of 6 points against Colorado College? Especially with that huge comeback on Friday? Any 1 point......tie North Dakota once at home, Minn-Duluth, that 1-0 loss at Denver. But it's in the past now.

Just goes to show how critical each point truly is

Yep, agree on all counts.

We absolutely let our chances slip away on our own accord. Quite a few missed opportunities this season.

As long as we learned from it, I guess I'm ok with it, though.
The downside to being in a beast of a conference.
When you are second in the country in penalty minutes,we should be glad we finished as well as we did.
They are also #6 in power play attempts 04-rock

Both go hand in hand with our style of play. I'm ok the high penality minutes, just wished we were better on our power play, which in a lot of our games could of been the difference. A 20% power play would have been 13 more goals

Lets hope the refs start keeping the whistle in their pocket a little more, which is typical each year come playoff time. But our kill has been very, very good as of late and lets hope that continues through the playoffs.
$$$$
Reminds me of last year when they only needed 1 win, if I recall correctly, to go to the NCAA Tournament.
We're ranked again!

Well look at that.

Guess I better post an update, eh?
^ I was wonderin.....

Sticks in my craw to see Ferris at #4. I watched them on tv twice this year, I think when we're on we could frustrate them into submission.
They're 16-1-1 at home this year. Whoa.

They're always usually solid in that **** hole

The year they went to the NCAA Title Game, they lost two games there. Guess who beat them 04-cheers
Good times. Surprised we didn't schedule them. It's a cheap road trip , after all.
1 to 2 more wins would of put this team into the top 12

On the last game of the season too. Ruined their pretty little trophy ceremony.

I still wish we stayed with the group of schools that reorganized into the new WCHA. I believe it would have been better to be one of the bigger fish in a smaller pond, and would have helped maintain our upward momentum as a hockey school. Ferris is the benefactor of that now, and will likely stay as the power in that conference for a while. And the cost of doing business in the WCHA is far less, since the schools are a lot closer, requiring less travel.

The league we are in is so loaded with schools who commit a lot budget-wise to hockey. We will never out resource those schools. Nor will we, even during our best years, run away with the NCHC. In the WCHA we could have accomplished both. Many thought it would be advantageous to be in this league as far as the Pairwise was concerned, and I actually agreed with that point, but it doesn't really look like that has been the case this year at least, for us or any other school in the conference.
Shut it.

I think I may keep it open on this point for a while. Sometimes you just know you are right.

But God bless you for the sentiment. Lol.
Muuuuaaaahhh.
