against ULM, the way he stepped up in the clutch and hit three point shot after three point shot. If we had had a reasonable amount of time on the last possession, I guarantee you he would have probably made the winning shot, but he didn't have enough time to get the shot off properly. And he was probably fouled on the last shot but they didn't call it.01-lauramac2
Anyone know what play was called in the last time out with 3.4 sec. left. I was hoping for a jump shot by Josh or Isom. Seemed to me to be poor strategy for a drive by Josh among the trees. Officials are not likely to call a foul that determines the outcome with such little time on the clock. For what ever reason, Trojans seldom get the win when game is on the line with 2 or 3 minutes left.

I'd guess it would be pretty much a prayer play. A Hail Mary shot of sorts. Don't have time to do much in 3.4 seconds. But, Josh would have definitely been my choice to take the Hail Mary. Like most good shooters, Josh is a streak shooter. He may hit five or six in a row, or he may miss five or six, but he was hot as hell that game, so he'd certainly been the choice of the majority of fans to take the last shot.

I assumed Josh would take it to the hole. Whether that was the right call or not who knows. I felt like our options where somewhat limited by where we were taking the ball out of bounds (on the side of the court, but not too far from the baseline.). I think we probably would have some more plays, in the playbook, to run when you are taking it in under your own basket with seconds left. Would have been nice to have WN- I like his odds on that 10 foot bank shot from the side he had pretty much perfected earlier this season.
Josh is as good as anyone to have the ball in the clutch situations, but I would like to see him drive more, because I think he can be more consistent doing that. He is way too streaky from the arc.
drive to the hole at home and force the foul.

I would do the same thing again.

Well he drive on that last play, but there were about three players on and in front of him and he couldn't really get the shot off. We only had 3.4 seconds. You can't run a play worth much in that time.04-cheers
