RIP. A lot of good things being said about him. That is a success in my book. Last grandchild of Henry btw.

I went to the High School named after his dad. That family was royalty in that neck of the woods. (Ford Woods, see what I did there? ha ha).
Last of a generation to pass away. Amazing how the family has been able to maintain control of the company over all these years.
He was a good family man, business man (in auto industry), and philanthropist.

Last link perhaps to greatest era in Michigan-Detroit history.

Too bad so many will only remember him as owner of the Lions and for their futility last 50 years.

No, probably not.
A lot of suffering Lions fans have waited for this day. We'll see if his demise changes the culture of this program or undoes the Bobby Lane curse.
I was more waiting for the day that someone else would be running the operation, like Bill Jr., not so much that William Clay Ford would pass away.
