Heard Nation just missed the all-academic team.

Why? Isn't it based on league play? He was there on league games and led of in Scoring, rebounds, and steals. Plus he's a great defender. With a solid head on his should he's 1st team as a soph.
More than likely 2nd team if all goes right- if you look at the 1st and and 3rd teams Cooke and Nation are the only under classmen- most of the players are Seniors and grad students with a couple of Juniors. If they come back you have to like Cooke and Nations chances next year to be 1st team all conference (with Thorton, Eatherton and Threatt). Lee Ford and Baru will probably be in the mix as well. Not to get ahead of ourselves but Drexel, Delaware and Towson will be in transition next year. Hofstra will have some new talent to integrate so they'll be better. Thorton will still be around W&M so they'll still be good. Elon will be getting adjusted. You probably have to like Northeastern and JMU (if they are still in the CAA and don't lose any key players) as the favorites going into next year.

I am surprised because he missed half the games of the season for non health related reasons (suspensions). Part of missing all that time is missing opportunities for post season accolades. I wouldn't have voted for him. Lots of all star lists have minimum game requirements. Would he have average that many points per game if he had played in all games? Rebounds? Steals? Speculation, of course. I would have sent a message.
Correction, Nation missed more than half the season. He should not be on an all CAA list for his "effort" this season.

Totally agree, missed more than half the season for off the court issues. No way I would have voted for Nation for any post-season accolades. That would be just one more thing he forfeited this year in my opinion. I think it sends a bad message.
Rick Barry's son made all rookie and only played in nine CAA games. I don't think that is right. I agree Nation didn't deserve it since his actions hurt the team. It doesn't seem to bother him or his sophomore buddies. That is a shame.

Pay $2 bucks and read the DNR. Nation was first to admit he didn't expect, nor deserve, to receive any post season honors.

I am done with 'lip service' from Nation --- prove it to me with his actions going forward. He has said the right things before.

I believe in -- It is real hard to gain back respect and trust once you have ruined it.

I believe CAA awards are based on CAA play. He played the majority of league play.

I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, but how do we know what Nation has done doesn't bother him, or more importantly, his teammates? I just find it hard to believe they are ok with what transpired this season.

I don't think they would have any hard feelings with low grades. I do believe they should (though they may not) have issues with a teammate not attending class.

Though these young mean are part of a team, I would hope that they are competitors, and part of being a competitor is trying to get playing time. Why would I want someone who doesn't follow the rules to get more playing time than me if I'm doing everything that is asked of me?
