Like his video. A few problems with throwing mechanics like throwing too much off his back foot, but he's young. Give him a year to put on some weight and get stronger. Nice pick-up.
who is currently projected to start this year?

Unknown but Ely seems to have a leg up on the others. I'm guessing Blackburn? is no longer thought of as a QB and Macon would be the fourth option, although he's actually taken game snaps. We haven't had an Ely at QB since I was there. good times.

Macon seems a little short to be QB... I was thinking Woodside would take over, but I was unsure if there was someone else in mind...

Ely is the transfer from 'Bama, about whom I hear very good things.
Speaking of diamonds in the rought - he has 1 year of HS varsity football. I like guys like that - tremendous upside, especially if they are still growing and learning. Some guys mature physically in high school and some keep getting better over time. Great to find the latter while recruiting.
So, the story actually has a link to the roster on the UT official football site. The story says UT only has 3 QB's on the roster and 2 of them are sophomores. The roster shows 4 QB's and Phil Ely's name isn't among them. He already sat out a year. Wouldn't it be permissible to put him on the roster now?

Regarding Glenn, he definitely has a strong arm. And he looks like a very accurate passer. His footwork looks really raw, though. If a good QB coach could get his footwork fixed, and synched up with the arm, he might be heck of a QB. It might take a couple years to do that, though.

BTW, we also a had a late DB commit: Dereon Carr

And WR Delane Hart.

Not if it takes three years to update players heights and weights from high school.
