Tuesday night we get to wish our seniors well and hopefully send them off with a big win over Ball State. (though the odds are very short that we'll host the first round of the MAC tourney next Monday night, so they get another home game before moving on to Cleveland).

We are a 14 point favorite.

This has been a good group to follow. Some of them have been among the more exciting EMU players in decades, going back to the 90s.

Riley is up there with Theron Wilson as a defender and shot blocker.

GB III as an athlete has first rate talents.

For whatever reasons when I think of Harrison I'm now thinking of James Head.

Hope they have taken care of their academics as I believe all are 5th year seniors (except Mo). Mo has a degree from his former school.

Nice to see Riley, GB III, Harrison, Strickland and Simms get their in April.

It's been a fun season... I just hope it lasts in CLE and we play some where in two weeks...
Looking for a nice send-off for our seniors, even though this likely won't be their last game in the Convo...

But Ball State is a great matchup for us, as we saw already. Young and turnover prone, while we generate our most effective offense off of TOs. Should be another comfortable win.
I wish all the seniors well, here's hoping we come out focused and ready to roll against Ball State and then Toledo and on the tournament. We have the physical ability to win it all lets hope we have the fire.
Very nice pregame ceremony webcast on EMU all-Access.
BTW, normally starting all the seniors on senior day is kind of an iffy proposition, BUT I'm anxious to see the five seniors (excluding Mo).
Mike Talley better get some All-MAC love. Could you imagine this team without him?

I'll repeat my comment from Saturday:

Talley is our offensive MVP and Riley, the defensive MVP.

I can't imagine our team without either...
Offense looks crisp. Defense is giving up a few too many baseline passes. Luckily Ball State can't take care of the ball. I hope we shore that up.
Frustrating end to the half. Should up comfortably, but it's only 6. We are ice cold from 3.

Talley and Glenn playing well.
Being out rebounded. Again!
Majok is eating Riley up.

Luckily the rest of Ball State is treating the ball like a hot potato. Ray Lee with 7 points and a nice assist in the span of about 2 minutes, all off of turnovers.
Tremendous unselfish play by Ray Lee, passing up a wide open 3 to hit Strick for a dunk. Something I don't think he would've done at the beginning of the year.

Vegas nailed this one (EMU by 14).

The better team won...
Final. 72-58.

Solid team effort offensively. 5 guys had 9 or more points.

However, Akron is up comfortably over Buffalo, so we will be hosting a game on monday. If we beat Toledo and Ohio loses, it will be Ball State. If Ohio wins, it will be CMU regardless of us winning or not at Toledo. Still, it would be nice to sweep the Rockets and get 19 regular season wins.
If we started up tourney play tomorrow..... 1. WMU, 2. UT, 3. UB, 4. Akron, 5. Ohio, 6. EMU, 7. MIA, 8. NIU, 9. KSU, 10. BGSU, 11. CMU, 12. BSU

Murphy played 12 players last night. Ross was not one of them.

P.S. I like the idea that so many players are getting PT, including Ali. It probably helps keep down the scoring and (winning) margin, but still a good thing.

Next year Perry will get PT. I don't know how good of a player he is or if he is on the team because his name is 'Perry'.
