Not trying to be a jerk. But, I think it would be appropriate if you put Sun Belt Champs next to GSU.
I wonder if GSU made it to Jonesboro yet. There's only about 3 inches of pure sleet on the ground, and roads are impassable. Our baseball team spent the night on the bus last night after getting caught in traffic for 4 hours plus.

They were still in Arlington yesterday.

If they make it...their driver is awesome. The final report in Jonesboro yesterday was 5 inches of sleet and snow with drifts that could swallow a small dog.
If Troy can go 1-1 in the next two games I think we are in.

USA was eliminated yesterday I believe.

The Troy/Texas State winner will go to New Orleans unless Troy beats UTA and Texas State loses to South Alabama Thursday. Its only 1-1 if that win is Texas State.

So after getting embarrassed by Troy, one more win would still guarantee ULM in NOLA, correct Chiefsfan? Without a win it looks like we need Troy to beat Texas St.?

One win and ULM is in (I prefer that win being in Little Rock)

ULM is also in if Troy loses their last two games, or if Texas State loses one of their last two.

If ULM loses to ASU and UALR, Texas State beats USA and Troy, and Troy beats UTA but loses to Texas State, you have a three way tie at 6-12 for the 7 and 8 seeds.

Records amongst tied teams is the first tiebreaker

Texas State would be 4-0 against ULM and Troy and would be the 7 seed.

ULM and Troy would be 1-3 and go into a two team tiebreaker for the 8 seed. Troy would win the 8th seed based off of their win over Georgia State.
So you're telling me there's a chance?!?
1. Georgia State has clinched the outright title, and NIT berth if they fall for the curse of the 1 seed in the SBC Tourney.

2. WKU clinches the Two seed with Two wins, or a win over ULL and an ASU loss to either GSU, ULM, or ULL.
Cajuns clinch the two seed by winning out and WKU losing out. (WKU owns all tiebreakers if they win in Atlanta)
ASU clinches the Two seed by Winning out and WKU losing to Georgia State (Only way ASU owns tiebreak with WKU is by beating GSU and WKU losing to GSU. If WKU loses to ULL but beats GSU, WKU owns the tiebreak by record against UALR)

3. Could be ASU, ULL, or WKU based on any number of scenarios.

First Round Bye Scenarios

WKU has clinched no worse than the 4 seed.
ASU clinches a bye by beating Georgia State, OR ULL. Beating only ULM needs a UALR loss
ULL clinches a bye by winning one of their final two games.
UALR clinches a first round bye by beating ULM AND ULL losing to both WKU and ASU OR ASU losing to GSU AND ULL.

Oddly enough, Texas States only league wins are against ULM (Twice), Troy, and USA (The teams who have not clinched NOLA yet) You control your own destiny for the 8 seed simply by winning out. But you HAVE to win out to pull it off, unless you expect on help from UTA.
Win out? Hmm that would require back to back wins. Maybe we need it's after all.

I would like to see the team make the tourney. I feel like they've grown a lot under Kasper and look forward to the future of Texas State basketball. Haven't had that feeling in a very long time.

I did realize there is one scenario in which UTA can clinch a first round bye. But it involves ASU losing three games this week, UTA winning out, and UALR losing to ULM.
Coach Hunter stated today on the PantherTalk podcast that he will be resting players now that we have won the Conference. He stated that the Seniors (Manny Atkins and D. White) will still play, but others will either have limited minutes or not playing at all if they have injuries.

Id be happy, but UALR just beat us soundly without their best player.
Its Game Day in Jonesboro...and I still can't get out of Little Rock because of Ice. There might be 800 people at the game tonight. Hope Georgia State is used to playing in front of empty 10,000 seat Arena's.

FYI...NEA is in their own snow jam right now. Cars were stuck on I55 for 15 hours last night.

Took us almost 4 hours to get into town. Expecting a flat team tonight.
Ga. State has clinched the #1 seed and I wouldn't be too surprised to see something of a letdown tonight and Ark. St. get the win.
