Obviously your best player, Taylor Gault hardly plays. Some thought she might not be feeling well. According to Foley, Di'mond Jackson had been playing great in practice so he started her. And she played great. But Taylor doesn't play the point anyway. Why would that have affected her minutes? Something doesn't add up. Wouldn't you wonder why Will wouldn't start or at least play significant minutes if he was 100% healthy? No. Something was going on that had nothing to do with how well Di'mond played in practice. I'd bet money on it. And you could tell from Taylor's body demeanor something wasn't kosher.04-cheers
I don't have a clue, but if Taylor Gault hasn't reformed to doing things Foley's way, and this has been going on for two years now, get rid of her. Although she'll be a senior next year, I'd be surprised if she comes back. I was surprised she was back this year. I know one thing, if it were me, I'd either do what the coach wanted me to do, or I'd leave and find a coach that would let me do whatever I wanted. I wouldn't continue to go through this **** for several years.

All I can figure is Joe knows the bench is the best way to get a play to learn to do what he wants. I don't like seeing Taylor Gault, on the bench, but I do like beating ASU.

One of the few things we can agree on, and especially when I didn't expect the win.
Joe is a Bully to his players! He got his motion offense from Bobby Knight and he appears to treat his players the same way. But it's working!

I know someone you know very well who gets very upset with the way Joe treats his ladies. I haven't seen enough of that, up close, to have a strong opinion. His methods do work- no one can argue with that.

I've never seen Joe throw a chair or choke a player.

Come by and sit with me at the next women's game on Tuesday and give me your opinion after that. There should be plenty of seats there.

He always win. As long as that continues, he can do anything he wants. When the excellence stops, he's gone just like Bob Knight.
When you do it with women, it's alled being a bully. When you do it to your guys and win, you are the coach whose abilities are those to which all future coached should aspire.

Don't know who you were referring to about sitting close, but, I don't have any doubt that you're telling the truth(you sit behind the bench at home and road games. I suspect a lot of that goes on by most coaches. I don't have a big problem with it as long as it doesn't get personal.
You are correct Jim. He wins just like knight. Got to believe that is why Morgan Bolton left after last year and why Carolee Dillard was dismissed from the team this year. We have some tough young ladies that can take the language and keep doing their best. I love this team and Joe always brings them around in the end. It is just tough to watch some time but I will keep on a coming.

I don't like it either. Don't hear that crap from Steve Shields.
Try a baseball game, and you don't have to have a front row seat to him sometimes. But, as I said, it doesn't bother me if it doesn't get personal or physical. I grew up with most coaches like that.

Let me say this as a compliment to Coach Boyer, he main scream in a game but I have never heard the man say a foul word and I've watched them in practice and he is a very respected man by the life he lives and how he gives back to the community.

Coach Brady on the otherhand has a lot more colorful language in practice, I don't like it but I'm not the AD. I think he does have the respect of his players or Reed wouldn't have ever came back but I do believe that a lot of today's players want a different type of coach today.

I saw Boyer giving the refs an earful. Must have kept it clean because they never looked close to giving him a "T".

The only way he get's a technical would be running on the court or the official just gets tired of him questioning them or asking for one.
I've never been close enough to hear Foley at a game, but have been to a couple of practices several years before it became a law that you couldn't attend UALR practices. I don't have any doubt about what RBL said about Foley's language. I do believe that one reason Foley can get some slack from his infrequent jawing with officials, is that he very rarely gets on them, and they know that. A coach that stays on their asses all the time will not get that slack.
