that in the game at Jonesboro we had two assists, and tonight we had sixteen. I don't want to say we're better without Will, but I'm seeing we seem to be more team oriented with him out. Everyone is contributing instead of counting on him to score all the points.04-cheers

I've heard coaches talk about "addition by subtraction". Usually that is referring to getting rid of a bad attitude player who is hurting the team even though he might be a good player.

Certainly WN does not have a bad attitude and seems to be a fine young man. But we have seemed to play better recently without him. Be interesting to see how the coaches handle it, if he is physically ready to play. If the doctors clear him and he wants to play, you've got to play your best player. But how the coaches integrate him back, without the chemistry we seem to be developing, will be incredibly tricky.
The issue is not losing Will. The issue is knowing for sure that Will is gone. As long as he was sort of there, we were looking over our shoulders, so to speak. Now we have moved on, turned the page. As long as they were still mentally looking to Will, they were not going to play like they have played since he definitely has been gone.

He will play against ULM. Maybe just a token appearance, but he will play. He was at yesterday's game without a sling. He was getting the balls for players and passing them to them during warm-ups. He did not look like he was hurting, although that's a little different than getting banged around, underneath in a game.

I don't know if you were watching closely but I don't believe he ever used or raised his left arm. He maneuvered the ball with his right hand. Never saw him get his left arm involved at all. At least not while I was watching him.04-cheers

And he ought to on Senior Night. But the team won't be standing around waiting for him any more, I don't think.

And with his folks coming across the pond to see him.

Really? That is great. I hope some of our fans get to meet them.
