Another complete beast RB/LB in the '17 class is Ti'ariq Daily at Elder. He's one of the better freshman I've seen in recent years.

Quote:After taking home MVP of our SUPER 7 QB challenge 2017 Royal Palm Beach Toddy Centeio has offers from Temple, Cincinnati, & Nebraska.

http://mastrolepassing.net/?p=5260

Quote:Toddy Centeio doesn’t carry himself like an average ninth grader, and he doesn’t play football like one either.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Centeio was named Royal Palm Beach’s starting quarterback as a freshman last season, and he led the Wildcats to an 8-2 record. He accounted for 1,025 passing yards and 11 total touchdowns.

“Football is really important to him,” Royal Palm Beach coach Willie Bueno said. “It’s all that he wants to do. He’s like no other freshman I’ve been around. He understands what you tell him and he understands what you’re trying to do. His work ethic is probably as good as anybody we have.”

In the offseason, Centeio hasn’t rested.

The young signal-caller was named the MVP of the Mastrole Super 7 QB Challenge in December, a competition that included Dwyer’s Daniel Parr, Plantation-American Heritage’s Torrance Gibson and other top quarterbacks from around the state.

Centeio is also currently playing for the local 7-on-7 team, BallerNation, traveling to take part in tournaments around South Florida. Each time he has taken the field, his arm and mechanics have impressed.

“He’s a kid that has a tremendous upside,” said local quarterback guru Ken Mastrole, who has helped prepare Clemson’s Tajh Boyd for the NFL the past few months. “He’s a little raw, but I see that the ball pops out of his hands and he’s accurate. He just has a real nice presence about him.”

Naturally, Centeio has experienced some bumps along the way.

The rising sophomore started his freshman season with 56 passing yards against Palm Beach Central, following it up by throwing three interceptions against West Boca Raton in the Wildcats’ third game of the year.

But Centeio progressed as the season went on, showing his talent on Sept. 27 against Lake Worth. He threw for a touchdown and ran for two more in the contest.

“After the fourth week, it came slower to me,” Centeio said. “I can be a dual-threat or I can be a pocket passer.”

That versatility is part of the reason so many colleges have already started to contact the Class of 2017 prospect. According to Centeio, coaches from Ohio State, West Virginia, Illinois, Miami, Georgia Tech, Florida and Florida Atlantic have already reached out to him.

In the summer, Centeio plans to attend camps at Miami, Florida State, South Florida and Florida with the hope of getting his first offer.

“He’s going to start to bring some serious interest to the quarterback position in Palm Beach County, where it hasn’t always been the stomping ground for high level quarterbacks,” Mastrole said. “There have been some good ones to come out of there, but he can be one of the names that you remember for a little bit.”

Royal Palm’s Toddy Centeio eludes Seminole Ridge’s Allimu Adelalkun for a gain during a game on November 8, 2013. Centeio had an impressive freshman season and was named MVP of the Mastrole Super 7 QB Challenge in December.

And here's an excerpt from the scout.com article on Ambry's UC offer:

Quote: Thomas will head down to the Queen City soon to see the Bearcats.

"As a matter of fact, we're going down on the 31st to meet the staff and get to know the program."

He has already met area recruiter, defensive backs coach and newly minted defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale.

"He seems like a nice guy. He told us a lot about him and he seemed real cool and made a lot of jokes. He said people want me to come down to camp and evaluate me at both [wide receiver and cornerback] and he said the would tell me where I fit best but at most likely at corner."

Hopefully he learns from his brother and steers away from the big schools with the big depth charts.
