Any way we might still make the semis? We are a game and a half behind ULL for 4th and two games behind stAte. We have two games left. ULL has three left and stAte has four left. So yes, we are still in the running for for a semis bye.
I have no idea if Will can even get back to playing health or not. But if it is possible, if you are the coach, since we are in the tournament, do you just rest him regardless until the tournament?

He has two full weeks from today if you rest him. May not be a bad idea. Let the team we are opening with, wonder if he will play.

Win out, and you stand a chance...especially if one of the two above you fall apart. Lose, and you're first round bound. It would put you 3 down in the loss column to ULL. Unless they were to lose to South Alabama at home...they'd be assured to finish ahead of you.

Are we a better defensive team that shares the ball better without will? On more than one occasion, we have played better without our star.

It would not be the first time that has happened. Sometimes teams lean too much on a player.

If I'm the coach he doesn't play again this year. Joe said they worked on him for nearly twenty minutes to try and get the shoulder back in place, and then had to take him to the hospital where they gave him enough pain killers so they were able to reset it. Joe also said that if he can't do what he needs to do to be able to play effectively, it wouldn't be fair to the team to play him. I think he might make a token appearance against ASU, but other than that I think he's through. But I could be dead wrong. We'll see. I just want the young man to get well.04-cheers

His "condition" that leads to these shoulder dislocations will not go away. If he wants top play and it won't worsen his condition, I'm sure he will (if the coaches think that his playing at less than full strenght will help the team).

Joe said that he can't just stand around on the perimeter and play. And Joe wasn't sure he could use his arm to push around inside as is required, and if he can't, he won't be of much use. But who knows. Maybe he'll have a miracle recovery and be at full strength. Steve said on his TV show (he was the one on the right) that surgery will be required for the second time on this shoulder. Doesn't sound promising.04-cheers

You make a good point. Will is our best player when he's healthy, but does he subtract more than he adds? Do other players and coaches rely too much on him so that the other players don't contribute as much when he plays? I don't know if we can win without him, but there is no question we're playing better as a team.04-cheers
