They really do want to turn America into France.

Raising the minimum wage to $10.10 by 2016 will help “people who just want to work hard,” but it also will help those who want to “work less,” White House economic adviser Gene Sperling told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday.

He argued that Americans support raising the minimum wage because it will lift “struggling” families out of poverty:

“But they also know what it’s like to see a friend, a neighbor, where one spouse goes back to work, who would prefer maybe not to work. Maybe they’re working part-time just to supplement the family’s income. And they think, if that family member is making that sacrifice — spending less time with the child — then they should be making a decent living or be able to work less because they’re getting a decent wage.”

The half a million newly unemployed will be thrilled, I'm sure.

The CBO came out with that yesterday, right?
Wow... Talk about trying to appeal to the lazy sack of shiits out there... These libs have figured out two things for sure... Give to the illegals, and give to the poor... The rest will force itself into place...
A person living in New York with 2 dependents making minimum wage will bring home $261.19 and pay no federal income tax. That same person making $10.10 will now bring home 352.06. How does a difference of $90.87 bring a person out of poverty? And if I was making $10.10 and hour I be totally fine with my wife quitting her job because I'm rich.

Yes. Said it could go as high as 1 million. Oh, well. Probably red state voters. C'est la vie.

He fits in perfectly.
The sad fact is the huge number of dumbasses in this country that fall for this communist-like propaganda.

The people who don't know where money comes from.

You're Correct. It surely won't bring that person out of poverty, but $90.87x20 employees will get some people fired.

Instead of trying to pay people more than their skills are worth, maybe the WH can find a way to increase the skills of those that want to improve. We can leave the rest at minimum wage.
Well, everything coming out of the CBO lately has pointed to the signature achievement and now raising Min wage being huge job killers. Obviously, the Obama camp could care less about jobs and the economy - they're into power consolidation and wealth redistribution. This is just the latest lie that tries to cover up their job killing policies.

I wonder if Gene Sperling leaves the set and throws up on himself a little bit because he can't believe anyone with a brain would buy the latest lie.

It comes from the greedy rich that horde it and won't share it with the masses. The rest comes from the government...you know they have their own stash of cash, right?03-banghead03-banghead
And then there's this:

Sperling called an increase to $10.10 a "moderate increase," and he said it means people "will rely less on the government."

He's calling a pay raise of 39% moderate. Obamanomics at it's best.
The last thing the left wants is people making those kind of wages to actually be successful and make a nice income because they would then actually be paying taxes and would not like the Dems who waste their taxes. The left wants these low income wage earners because they can keep them dependent on the government tit and more importantly keep them voting for Dems.

For starters, they relied on government to get their raise.

what's really funny is nobody has tapped into the 'why' it really doesn't matter so we canz just printz mo' moneeezzz <sic> and hide behind the mask....at least Russia figured that one out.....
They can't grow the economy, because they suck. They can't help with job creation because they are too consumed with "fundamentally transforming America" and because they suck. So, what to do next? Try to normalize the current sucky situation. Lowest workforce participation since Jimma, cause he too sucked. Real UE numbers closer to 13%, and as high as 50% for some of the poor folks stuck on the new dim plantations, and that sucks. People that suck in positions of real responsibility, Sesillious and this moron Sterling, that take us for suckers and spew propaganda like Baghdad Bob.

So push the responsibility for their suckness off on small businesses and close the door to thousands of willing and able young people trying to develop life skills in an entry level job that sucks. Now make it appear this is a career move and should be a position capable of supporting a family, and relegate these poor folks to a life time of suck.

Great plan. Oh, and you suck.
