Well, considering that game day would have been Miami's 1st time outdoors since last fall, the errors aren't surprising. Winter in the north is a disadvantage early in the season particularly. By May, it's a non-issue.

While the video feed wasn't awesome, a number of those were clearly cases of not having enough reps, like the shortstop trying to do a short underhand flip to second and sailing it.

Its the sport we in the Sun Belt use, so we don't have to acknowledge how horrible our basketball programs are.
Game three both schools put on fielding clinics with a pair of errors apiece. Red Wolves out-hit Miami 14-7 and was better able to take advantage of the Miami errors. 13-3.
Our diamond has been under a foot of snow or more since Christmas. These games are totally meaningless for measuring anything.
There's a good reason why spring training exists; it gives MLB players roughly a month to practice in a warm environment so they're ready for the season. If teams only trained independently in their respective cities during March, you'd see much worse baseball out of the Cardinals, Tigers, etc. during the beginning of the year.
Haha we complain about being a northern team because since the early 60's we've always been either the most northern team in our conference or second most northern team.

We know the feeling. Decided to play one of the top D2 teams in the country Tuesday as a filler. They had already played 10 regular season games and had been outside for 4 more weeks than we have. They came out made no errors, walked only one hitter and beat us 2-0.

No more scheduling D2 teams for us.
