Part II. Well, I guess the night is not a total cluster****.
Haha...I knew it. No mention of the vandy game.
Lesson to be learned here is DON'T KILL MICKY'S DOG (or whatever the hogs did).

Yup, that was impressive, beating a team with 7 players who lost to last place USC tonight.
Lol! But if they lost it would have been a mention on the board about how the Anderson's gutterball can't win on the road.

Actually, Anderson's streetball is good for one SEC win a year. And, in actuality, my man Haith is struggling as well. He's only won 2 of his last 5 SEC games. One guess who those 2 wins are against.
I watched the espn highlights of the mizz game. Anything could have happened on that last shot.

It is not like they got beat by 20.

We have had back to back close losses and you are saying we need to get some money together to keep steve.

I'll trade steve for anderson right now and you would too.

Anderson would win big here.

He might be a good Sun Belt coach. Pelphrey certainly was. He can't just roll the ball out and win in the SEC with better athletes. He is 1-4 against Haith. Haith has won with Mike's players, who were thrilled to finally get some "coaching", and now with his own players. Haith would be on a 5 game losing streak if he didn't get to match up with Anderson. To be totally honest, they both suck, Anderson just sucks a little more.
I never felt like steve sucked just that he had had his time to get the program moving.

Steve gets the guys to play hard and he may well finish in the top 4 with a hurt team.

Personally, i could care less about what is happening in the sec. It is hard to follow a league you dont have a team in.

If I didn't get hog **** thrown in my face every time I turn on the radio, television, or open a newspaper I might ignore them as well. Just hard to do around here.
Mickey, brother, i understand but it really is two different levels of bb.

I want us to win and dont see how it is tied to them.

I'm not up to giving a history lesson, but you weren't around when they did their best to shut our program down when Newell was rolling and they saw us a real threat to their "empire". Maybe LRTrojan is right and they taught our school administrators that they better not ever get "too big for out britches" again.
Micky, you have passion brother. I love that about you.

First of all, let's look at the bright side of that situation. If it hadn't been for that, you wouldn't have called to sell me a season ticket, and I doubt I'd have ever gotten involved with the Trojan program, so for that I am grateful to those insecure crapheads who tried to shut down our program.

With that said, probably very few of those people are even still alive, and if they are I doubt they have any direct contact with the program. None of the present coaches were there at the time, and the present kids weren't even born yet. So to still carry around all that negative karma isn't worthy of a person of your stature.

Now one last comment. I happen to believe strongly that Mike Anderson is a hell of a coach. And I can nearly guarantee that in eleven seasons, he'll have a lot more teams in the NCAA tournament than we have had in that same period of time. Point made. Sermon over! God bless!04-cheers

Yes, getting you involved with the program was one great thing to come out of the attempt to shut down UALR basketball. I agree that the effort to shut down UALR was a long time ago. But the overall attitude, toward every other school in the State, continues to this day. If it is true, that it is the UA bylaws that prevent us from considering football, that is one more thing to be pissed about right now. With regard to Anderson, I'm sure he will win there eventually. Who wouldn't with the second best oncampus arena in the country, an unlimited budget, and the best fan support of any SEC team outside of Kentucky. But a 2.5 million dollar coach he is not.

Is any basketball coach really worth 2.5 million dollars? Is any football coach worth 5 or 6 million. I guess it's up to the buyer (AD), and solvency of the program what a coach is worth. I think Anderson proved himself both as a Conference USA coach and an SEC coach. And I think he was the absolutely the correct choice for the Razorback program. How he'll do is yet to be determined, but I'm of the opinion that he's a very good coach and will get the Razorbacks back to national prominence in time and keep them there. And Nolan will have something named after him. Either the new practice facility or something. It's time.04-cheers
Price will be what the market will bare.

They teach that in college and it is in all parts of life.

There are a few people that post on this board that make plus 200k a year and I bet all them believe they are worth the money that are working for and just like those coaches, anyone not making half thinks they are making too much.

I don't care if coaches make a lot of money. At the end of the day the employer has to look at what he is paying and figure out if that worth the amount of return they are getting.

If I have a program that looks to not be moving and fails to make the ncaa and I pay 2.5 million a year, at some point I will correct it.

Same thing goes a coach making 250k, accept you get a lot more rope.

Really. I'd like to meet them and introduce them to the fund raising guy/gal at UALR.
You already know all 3 of them

That being the case, your problems are all solved. If each of those three give $100,000 a year to the UALR program, they will have a large amount of influence and can achieve what you guys want for this program. Come on you $200,000 people. Send it on in. Today!01-lauramac2
