Prayers for these two, and everyone involved.

Forget any implications to the football team long term I just really hope these guys make a full recovery. Just horrible news to hear about 2 kids who from all accounts are great people and great teammates.

Agreed. Wonder when they'll release info as to their condition. These 2 kids really are 1st class individuals.

No idea the only thing I've seen was someone on twitter heard that Stanley had a collapsed lung. That may or may not be true. I haven't seen a thing mentioned about Harris' condition and I don't know if that's good or bad.
Sad news. Hope the best for them. Did ECU/that area not have a weather delay or anything?

I live about 2 hours south of Greenville and all the schools around here have been canceled, but from what I heard after first reading this ECU didn't have a delay this morning. I'm not there so I can't comment if there should have been one or not.
Horrible news… get well soon.
It snowed 10 inches just outside of New Bern....... so this seems sort of absurd to not even have a delay
Sounds like Harris is ok but latest update I've seen has Stanley listed in "critical condition."
The City of Greenville was on TOP of this system, unlike the one last week (at this point they all seem the same). They were prepping the roads last night. When I was out early this morning, the roads I traveled on were fine. They crashed on a bridge, which has its own different set of issues.

ECU is now cancelled for 1pm and later classes. But something tells me, if we JUST didn't have three days off last weed (Wed-Fri), all day would've been cancelled.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the kids, their families and teammates.
I wish those guys a speedy recovery.

Southerners seem to have a harder time driving in snow and ice than us Northerners. I live in Chicago and people here drive in snow and ice with no problems. When I go to visit family in Tennessee if they is any snow or ice then the local government will shut down the whole town, because every knows that there is going to be trouble on the roads.

True to some degree due to limited experience, but a lack of adequate equipment to plow and salt roads along with snow tires doesn't help much either.

Awful news about Terrell.
I hope they have a speedy recovery.

We don't have it like they do though. They've got their stuff down pat up north where we're just trying to do whatever works.
God, that's awful. I hope they fully recover and are on the field in 2014.

Your issues with this weather reminds me of UCF in 2004 when Florida had a hurricane rolling through roughly every 2 weeks. We probably had 4-5 weeks of school cancelled that semester.
