I picked USA first. Currently they are last. Talk about missing by a mile! But honestly, I did think it through, and logically arrived at that prediction. Was I all by myself in that? Maybe not picking them first, but at least in the top tier.

I think most of us thought USA would be among the top teams in the league, so you weren't alone. I don't know what happened to them, but they have certainly underachieved, at least in the regular season.

I thought the pick made a great deal of sense when you made it. They will still end up biting someone. Maybe ASU on Thursday.
Not crazy at all. On paper they should have at least been top half. Historically strong belt program. Returning POY. Some strong guards. Assistant coach from one of the top non bcs programs. Something went horribly wrong in Mobile this year and basically nobody saw it coming.
Goes to show that coaching is as much of an art as it is a science.

They looked pretty good to start the season. Were tied with Texas in Austin at 77, before losing 84-77. #19 Texas beat OkSt tonight by 19. Only lost to Gonzaga by 9. They have talent and a coach from good bloodlines. Just hasn't worked to this point. They will pull an upset or 2, before this season is over.
Imagine the pressure that coach must be feeling.
