Hey guys, let's face it. The GONZAGA game for US; The city of Memphis; The AAC conference; Nick King; The coaching staff; Our amazingly boisterous crowd; Joe Jackson; Dickson; The team as a whole....."The Perfect Storm"

Based on "need" Nick King was inserted into the lineup and based on need was there for the duration.....Fortunately KING was ready for this moment and the stage was set for him that "awesome moment in history night"

Fortunately for US, WE have found out what Nick King has known....That he plays hard with enthusiasm and passion...That's exactly what he displayed along with Joe Jackson and Michael Dickson and CC...That enthusiasm was infectious, as it resonated throughout the arena and actually through the ZAGS as they were stumped....Give me THAT enthusiasm over subpar effort and I will accept the outcome, No matter what.

In that game, We were forced to go that direction, however it turned to a momentous avalanche of confidence for US.....

This is a staple moment in our program that WE would be wise to grow and take advantage of.....As WE were forced to dictate the style of play.....It turned out to be a blessing for US....WE can't be something that WE are NOT.... Our floor needs to be opened up for our guards to allow them to get to the rim and Nick allows US to do just that.....GONZAGA showed that WE can't just react to a teams post prowess....But if WE dictate the style that WE are going to play....teams will have to adjust to US.....Mark Few couldn't stop the bleeding and it was beautiful to see the shoe on the proverbial "other foot" for a change...

We are so much more of what WE have shown thusfar, and this awakening can be a huge advantage for US...KING brought an energy that WE have so desperately needed in that area.....a tenacity and it showed it's glorious head that night.....As Our staff continues to poke and prod some of our players to be tenacious there are players that say "I can do that"

I really feel that KING makes US a faster team; a more wide open team; a more effective team on the break as well a another threat on the floor that other teams just can't match(without really losing any rebound advantages) Not to mention the infectious energy that he brings.....

As our team was forced into this phenomenon in that miraculous win, I feel that it's so much of an advantage for US to dictate this occurrence rather than stumbling upon it will render more positive results as WE get matched up with teams that can punish us in that manner....It feels so helpless as someone dominates you almost into submission......But WE have weaponry that others don't have......WE have faster;leaner; meaner jets that can attack attack attack....We need to utilize this and come at teams in droves as opposed to going blow for blow in a heavyweight bout.....IJS

Concrats TIGERS.....I can't wait for the AAC Tourney....I will Be IN THA HOUSE

So, all that's great, but what WE really want to know is how do you feel about Nick King? Good? Bad? Indifferent?
Da Fuq is this??? Are you in jail? Is this one of those secret messages to get you some contraband twinkies shipped in???
"Energy!"

Love your spirit, Thagr82008.
too much words
I think it started with Rutgers, not Gonzaga, but the pressure keeps building. King is good, I could tell the first time I saw him. Woodson is pretty good too and so is Iverson. And I still really like Wilson. I understand Pastner's "the guards are it" mentality, but if we'll play a 1 and a 2 and a 3 and a 4 ( the Lawrence Welk line up), I really believe we could win it all.

We have 4 guards, play them 2 at a time and let them play all out all the time. Rotate Dom and a semi-healthy Pellom behind Goodwin and Nichols and let King, Iverson and Wilson handle that last spot.

I know, I don't get paid to coach, never have, but I really truly believe that rotation could get to the final four!
I Love Family Pictures.

I have been saying the same thing all year. If we fielded a 1-2-3-4-4/5 lineup we could matchup with anyone in the nation and have a better chance to make a real run in the NCAA tournament.

It’s crunch time now and probably too late to switch.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to witness the Rutgers game...But I think WE NOW are beginning to realize the combinations that can be very effective for US...Utilizing those wisely and effectively could prove monumental, as teams just can't matchup.

My reference to Gonzaga brings to surface a troubling truth the WE should be more proactive in forcing OUR style as opposed to being reactive , attempting to counter the oppositions strengths....That doesn't yield favorable results for US as our combinations will allow the floor to open more for our guards and ofcourse, we know, our guards are the heart & soul of this team...Your suggestions of lineups are right on point and WE would be devastating and a nightmare to matchup with...
