Just clicked and posted. Was there a reason to have a preference? Something I'm missing?

You think it's strange that someone would consider it "good" that there was accountability? No waiting until eligibility was exhausted? I'm pretty sure yours is the strange response.

where did arrest take place-toledo, muncie
Wow. DUI is never a good idea so on that front i hope this is a lesson learned for him if true. But during the season yet? What the hell was going thru his head? I'm pretty sure that I've read where Coach K had said that Drummond was one of the best leaders he's seen. Not so much anymore. Very disappointing. But at least nobody was killed or injured.

Your moral outrage and indignation has be duly noted; however, before you get too worked up please consider that:

His one game suspension is for embarrassing the program and letting his teammates and himself down.

A court of law has the responsibility to determine his punishment for putting society at risk and I trust will do so.

Oregon suspended one of their fb players for their bowl game this year because of his involvement in a snow ball fight that got out of hand. So Toledo's stance on a DUI is its about as bad as a snowball fight. But if the courts want to do something more that's their business. Not ours.

ok cool, got it. thanks for clarifying.

Judging by your profile picture you're an OU fan. Your football coach is a drunk yet they're still letting him coach college athletes.

Don't post stupid stuff on this message board thinking any fan here condones someone driving drunk, or act like we have any control over the suspension.

I would certainly imagine that DUI is a violation of team rules and coach doesn't need a court case to impose discipline. One game suspension is about the minimum he could impose and maintain credibility for team rules.
Isnt JD a criminal justice major? Getting a first hand view of the process. Like many, Ive been there done that but luckily not gotten stopped. Lets hope a lesson is learned by everyone on the team.
Are players even allowed to drink alcohol whatsoever during the season? Last year Coach K would not even let them tweet during the season.

I think the success on the court may be getting these guys a bit overconfident. They are not playing defense with big leads, Juice uses the s*** word during a game, and now Drummond does this.

The guys love Coach K because he lets them play a free wheeling offense but maybe more discipline on and off the court is necessary.
