Anyone heard how ticket sales are going?

Thanks
yours will be at will call :)
my 11 tickets are fine

will anyone else? 15k gets you booted out of the Big East

It does? So this is a make or break game for UC attendance-wise?
all games are make or break

The Big East is on UC's arse
already?

is that a feeling you have, or something in league discussions.

is that why they booked these tough games, for attendance purposes?

interesting comment you made.
UC is not even close to any 15,000 figure and is no way in trouble with the Big East. UC will average near 30,000 in 2007 with a favorable home schedule given ESPN does not play with the UL and WVU dates and times etc.

If those 2 games are on a Saturday night Nippert will sell out for each one.
The Big East is on UC's arse. This is true. Have you noticed the increased marketing for this game? UC is trying.

Trent Rosecran says he is basing 15k on tickets sold as of 11 55 pm last night. Not good.

Might as well just cancel the season, I guess. 03-melodramatic 03-weeping 01-wingedeagle

UC has had 1 freaking season in the Big East. You don't know what you are talking about.
I made this all up. Our attendance is fine.

Thanks

Our attendance is not fine - the rest you made up.

This weekend is just a bad combo for attendance. Holiday weekend to saye bye-bye to summer, students are not back, directional Div-1AA opponent....

There will be about 10,000 more in attendance on the 8th when Pitt rolls into town (unless UC lays an egg this weekend, then all bets are off).
I seem to have heard somewhere that the BE will take issue with our attendence, but I have to believe it's more than just a 1-2 year plan.

Paigers, relax. You've done your part, bringing your 11 others 04-rock
I will be down there (bringing 3 with me).
We have a group of 4. I find it extremely hard to believe that the Big East is concerned with 15k attendance. We are avg in the 20k's. Does that mean the Big East is predicting we avg 15k this year?

I will try to pop in for at least part of the game, if not to just support the cause. Typically the early season games with warm weather have decent attendance, relatively speaking.

It seems the real problems occur when the cold weather sets in and the Bearcats are confronted with a meaningless game against a mediocre opponent after a disappointing loss...that's when Nippert becomes a graveyard.
I'll be there.

There's a big HS event going on at PBS that could really hurt attendance.
UC will never draw as long as the continue to schedule non BCS schools in September. In a pro town people want to see teams that hold interest. Teams for BCS conferences. No one cares about Akron, EKU, most MAC schools. Want attendance schedule BCS schools so people can get used to big time football at Nippert or PB.
I'll be there.
