So, will they be serving beer at our games? I never remember beer being offered when we have played at the Met, so I am not optimistic. But baseball is meant to be watched while drinking a beer. Has anyone heard any talk about this?
Well since they started serving beer at UAB football games and had no issues, I think this is a given. But that is a good question, I will ask somebody.
Talked with someone in athletics, had to call about something else, and he is gonna double check and let me know.
It would only help drive revenues for Regions Park and increase the value proposition of UAB baseball to them.

What would really get attendance up and interest in the baseball program is a Thirsty Thursday--the Barons had quite a few hard sellouts this year on Thursday night. I don't see the school administration sanctioning something like this, but you gotta admit it would be cool to have 9,000 out on a warm spring evening to watch us play.
I'm glad people started making phone calls. I had assumed it was a given that beer sales would be a go at the Regions Field games given that they went out of their way to make it happen at the football games, and I don't remember any problems resulting from it. I noticed they did eventually phase out all glass bottles, but their presence was a dumb idea to begin with.

Old article that adds nuance to the question:

"While some people might view leaving the suburbs as a gamble for the Barons, it's a sweetheart deal for the club. The Barons could gross $3.7 million a year from a contract that gives the team control of concessions and most of the ticket revenue and suite revenue, California-based baseball marketing expert Jason Klein estimated in 2011."

If they get control of concessions when they play, do we get control of concessions when we play there?
and can the Blazer Booster Gold Card be used @Regions
UAB is selling season tickets for baseball & softball now. The family season pass for baseball is great: get a family of 4 into all 30 home games for $95... here's the link:

I know they serve beer up in the Booster Club section at Legion for UAB football, but I couldn't say concerning baseball.

Do they serve beer and hard liquor at Bartow?
Here's the full promotions schedule for UAB Baseball:

http://www.uabsports.com/sports/m-basebl...14aaa.html

It's definitely not like the Barons' promotions, mostly just discounts & inflatables for kids. There's a Cancer Awareness Game, a buy one-get one day, a free admission game, a 'bring your dog' day at Young Memorial Field... no special food or giveaways.

UAB better have all hands on deck for the first series at Regions... I know there are people planning to go just because it's the first chance to see a game in Regions this season... I'd hate for people's first experience of UAB baseball at Regions to be a poor one.

Don't think so, I thought you could only sell alcohol on off campus sites, which Regions is, so they should sell beer. COGS

They sell beer to everyone at Legion Field.

I heavily assume so. In fact I was literally banking on that.
Ticket prices not already listed in this thread:
Individual season ticket price: $40

Non-promotional individual game prices are:
Regions Field - Adult $7, Child $5
Young Memorial Field - Adult $5, Child $3

"Yes we will have beer sales for UAB. When you come to the UAB games you’ll noticed it’s a scaled down version of a Barons game."
