@UClaxCats - ESPN is currently trying to figure out a way where UC can actually drop after beating Louisville.

The guy who writes it is a UC fan, so it mustve just been a typo, instead of ignorance. Oh well.

Haha yeah, beta, that comment got a chuckle outta me to because you just KNOW that it kills ESPN to see the poor ole AAC getting a team in the Top 10. The guys who comment regularly are a good group of posters too, like C. Austin.

I don't think it bothers ESPN at all. Actually it is probably good for them because they have sole control of the product and have been selling some games off to CBS, so it actually is better for ESPN to have the AAC having multiple strong teams. Some other leagues they do not have full control over.
I think ESPN is completely fine with it since they own the rights for a long time and have them for cheap. UC is going to be a huge money maker for them while ranked in the top 10 because people will stop to see a game with a team in the top 10. They'll make more off of 3 UC games while ranked up there than they'll pay to the AAC for the season.

it doesn't bother them but their handling of the bearcats bothers me. Last night was a prime time game on ESPN and it doesn't even get mentioned during the SC that night, save for the Shaq Thomas dunk that made top ten. i realize it's superbowl week but they had highlights from FL/MSU, story about the FL kid that just got eligible, question about who the best Frosh in CBB was, the Knicks, the Pacers, NASCAR announcing a regulations change, Super Bowl fluff, more Super Bowl fluff and top 10. This was a top 15 head to head matchup featuring the defending NC. They can't show any highlights? In fact, the Bearcats have rarely been featured on SC since they broke into the top 25. We don't play the prettiest brand of ball but JJackson, Rubles and Shaq have had plenty of offensive and defensive highlights to merit 15 seconds. We're the best team that doesn't exist in ESPNs world. it's infuriating.

This. To them our success (and UCF in football) is equivalent to buying a house dirt cheap and finding out the property is sitting on oil. They are loving every minute of it.
