Quote:My friend saw Cronin and UC's strength coach walking around campus yesterday with a recruit and his mother. My friend said the kid was 6'10" or taller, not whispy but not really built either, long arms, and long cornrows. Anyone have a clue who it was?

Anyone over here have any info?
I don't believe he's 6'10" unless there were 2 kids on campus.

You tease. ;-)
so how about another hint or a name O? ;-)
Danny Macelory or what ever his name is when i saw it it wasnt premium info on rivals.
Well, if he was with his mom I would bet the kid is local, so it would either be Gates or McElroy even though neither of them are 6'10. However my money is on D-Mac, considering Gates doesn't seem to be to high on Cincy from the recent rumors.
I have a strong feeling, :) , McEloroy will be a B-cat by the end of this month, end of the year at the very very least.

On the same subject I also know he is older for his class and their is still question if he get much more than 6-6, 6-7. He is highly skilled though, and I'm sure UC would take him from 190's to 240 relatively fast.
McElroy will be a small forward in college, not a power forward. I have seen him play numerous times, he is a very good athlete and more of a wing player than a power player...He is going to be a good one. Really good...

I'm suprised scout doesn't have him anywhere in it's list of players in the 2009 class, also not in rivals top 25...is he being overlooked??? Actually their wern't alot of Ohio players in those rankings, given the recent talent level in Ohio lately I'm suprised, is Ohio being overlooked??? or is the talent level just not their in the 09 class?

The 07 class hasnt even graduated yet. The 08 class is continuing to be refined. Give them some time on 09, it's still early. Rankings fluctuate about as often as the stock market.
The 09' lists are pretty crappy at the moment. McElroy should be in the top 50 when it's all said and done.
Rivals and Scout do a horrible job of rankings when it comes to underclassmen.

Hoop Scoop has McElroy the #42 prospect in the C/O 2009. Not saying they are all the great at ranking players but they at least to a better job of following underclassmen...
