"ST. THOMAS - Clemson, Louisiana State and Seton Hall will headline next winter's Paradise Jam men's basketball tournament at the University of the Virgin Islands"

"Gardner Webb, Illinois State, Nevada, Old Dominion and Weber State will round out the men's field."

"Old Dominion is a familiar name to the territory, as the Monarchs won the Paradise Jam in 2010 and are making their third appearance on St. Thomas. Seton Hall and Clemson also were in the field in 2010."
Don't know what Clemson will be like, but looks like a tournament that we can win again.
I wouldn't overlook LSU. They have 2 guys who may be NBA bound after this season, but they will still have some capable players. Keith Hornsby (son of Bruce) will be eligible to play as well (92% FT, 6'4" with bounce and range on his jumper).
Looks like a decent field and a chance to start the season off with a bang.
Aren't there two divisions in this tournament? Is it a true bracket? It's odd that they listed the 3 marquee teams and then 5 others if there are divisions.

I believe they seed the tourney so there is a mix of "good" and "weak" teams in each bracket. The year we won, I think we surprised them by knocking off some supposedly "good" teams.

I remember beating Clemson and Xavier.

I remember the Clemson game was a classic Blaine ugly rockfight. Then the Xavier game was one of the better college basketball games I have seen.

Clemson game was a Blaine classic for sure. I remember them hitting a full court shot as time expired to make it a 1 point win for ODU.

Hornsby wanted to come to ODU in the worst way but BT didn't give him a sniff.
He shoots too well
Bruce is always odu games. Or at least a good portion of them. Doesn't his other son play for oregon?

Frank was a beast and took home the tournament MVP if I remember correctly. He was backing up to the basket and scoring at will against the 7 footer from Xavier in the final game.

he was a beast that whole year. what a great season we had that year. until Butler happened.
Ben Finney got tourney MVP at the P-Jam in 2010. A surprise of the tournament was that St Peter's gave us the best fight of anyone. Coop was terrific and saved that game.

We should have won the 2006 one too. But, that was the first year or so coaches could call TO's from the bench. The Wisc player at the last seconds of the game was being guarded by Alaex Loughton on the inbound line. The ref' gave Bo Ryan a TO from the bench when it was past the 5 seconds. If we got that turn over we would have won since there were just 2-3 seconds.

I think his other son runs track for Oregon.

I saw Hornsby play in Halton Arena last season.

He's legit. When he announced he was transferring, I was hoping Charlotte would pursue him. Would have been nice to have his skill set and who wouldn't want to hear "Just the Way it Is" performed by his dad at halftime? 04-rock 03-lmfao
