Being a former volunteer firefighter from Northwood I can tell you it hits the entire cummunity very hard. No matter if they were your friends or from chicago or Toledo it's tough. God bless them and thier family's.

I drive for a limo service part time out on Long Island and I recently drove the retired Fire Chief for the largest fire department in New York. He told me his own personal account of 9/11 and I couldn't help getting a bit emotional. These guys risk their lives every time they head out the door. Military, Firemen and Police Officers. Special breed.
