It's Senior Bowl week, just wanted to talk about MAC players here.

I believe there are only two, since Khalil Mack declined to play as he's going to be a top 10 pick.

The two playing are Jimmie Ward (NIU safety) and David Fluellen (Toledo RB).

Haven't read much on Fluellen, but honestly haven't looked that in depth on it.

As for Ward, many are claiming he's the top DB at the Senior Bowl. Looks like he's practiced well the first two days. Going into the week he was projected as a 3rd rounder, he might be playing himself into the 2nd.

Side Note: Not a MAC player, but I've enjoyed following Jimmy Garappolo since EIU played NIU. Looks like a good prospect, hope he makes a good career in the NFL.
I can't believe Dri Archer hasn't been in any of these games.

Current coach did not do him any favors, he was well hidden in 2013. Very possible he could be a UDFA and makes a team as a special teamer.
Hidden? You realize he was hurt and missed the beginning of the year and then played at less than healthy the rest of the way right? He actually still showed some glimpses in his limited duty.
EIU QB Jimmy Garrapolo got a Senior Bowl invite based on his fine East West Game and McCarren declining to participate.

From reports i've heard the 3 QB's for the South (Fales/SJST, Carr/Fresno and Garrapolo/EIU) are outperforming the North QB's who are all from AQ programs (Miami,FL, VT & Clemson/Morris, Thomas & Boyd)

5 of the top 10 rated QB's are from NON AQ programs, that has to be a hard pill for the AQ programs to swallow

RB David Fluellen, Toledo looks like the NFL RB of the North bunch between he, James White and Charles Sims. Sims looks solid too.

Good for him. Almost everything I've read on Ward has been positive. One guy said he looks better as a corner than a safety was the only really negative thing.

So far, his play might have moved him from the 3rd round to the 2nd round.

If Fluellen plays well, he could end up being drafted. Looks like most people have him in the 7th round or UDFA.

Latest update I saw on Ward

NIU Safety Jimmie Ward was in good position throughout 11-on-11s today. Deone Buccanon too. Both 2nd day picks IMO.
Garapollo is being projected by many as high as mid 2nd round. a big Senior Bowl performance would move him up higher.
Don't forget UMass TE Rob Blanchflower. He had to pull out of the Senior Bowl because of injury unfortunately this week.
Another article at CBS sports on which players have helped and hurt themselves at Senior Bowl week. Hint: mention of Jimmie Ward.
