Seems like year in and year out the niners are playing a meaningful game in the playoffs or winning a Superbowl.

This is a team whose fan base is made up of old hippies, nerd patrol Silicon Valley techies, and fancy boys from the Castro district.

90% of this fan base was picked last in everything outside of the chess club. It's immigrant base comes from a country that idolizes ping pong players, Yet these are the people who get to live vicariously through a great NFL program, while lunch bucket actual football fans in Detroit are on their 60th year of suffering.

It's just not right.
PED's
Been around this country a LOT, different big cites over the years, worked and stayed, observing the local cultures while I was there over extended amounts of time. Detroit area has the most knowledgable fans, bar none. It really isn't right the way they don't get rewarded by the Lions.

In the older areas of the Los Angeles area, they have down to earth, real fans like Detroit, I was pleasantly surprised. They don't even have an NFL team.

But the old school Dodger types are great, hang on every pitch, know the bench, pitchers, hitters tendencies, just like at home. That's the only place that comes close in my mind.
Oh and BTW, did I mention how happy I am that I'm in Tucson and not in Denver right now?! 02-13-banana

It's just too much how they gush over the Broncos there. Bad news is that I have plans to fly into Newark on the 2nd to work in NJ. Think I'll rethink plans and fly into Philly.

Only two years ago the Lions went into Denver and crushed Tebow and Co. in front of the home fans. Two years later they're in the SB.

Too bad the Ford family couldn't buy every franchise in the league and drag the other 25 teams down to our level.
They have ownership who actually cares about winning championships. W.C. Ford is the worst owner in the NFL, and the Lions are the worst-run franchise in professional sports.
Our family business did business with them quite a few times, they are "stupid bad". Like surreal. That was when WC was running the office, but I hear that it's not much better now. I thought Bill Ford would straighten things out, but as long as WC is around, that's not gonna happen.

I went to that game. Tebowmania around that town was gross, there were die hard Tebow fans saying he was better than Peyton when the Broncos lost to Baltimore last year.

There is a local sports caster who kept that up until well into this season as well.

Skins, Browns disagree.

What, exactly, outside your thinly veiled racist rant (nice job, your true colors exposed) does a franchises fan base have to do with its on-field success? Year in and year out the 9ers are winning titles and playing in big games? Did you spend the 00s in a coma? The 9ers only recently became relevant again after spending almost a decade buried in irrelevancy. The Yorks finally got their **** together, got super lucky Harbaugh was on the west coast and didn't f4ck up a personnel hire.

You are a pathetic pile of sh1t, even more clueless than previously imagined.
Man I envy you Charm. You keep losing jobs, doing the Box Car Willie from town to town............eventually land in a town that wins the Superbowl. 03-drunk
He likes me a little. It's you. Muuuuuaaahhhh.

Listen, I understand your historical perspective on football is clouded by years of mood altering meds, but the fact is the Niners have won 5 Superbowls, while the Lions have yet to get a win in the playoffs other than in a short strike ridden season.
Forgot about that strike season playoff win. Charm doesn't realize in that same time frame we have seen the Niners win a lot, fall from grace then be back in play. Sad. Lions just kept being the Lions.

Charm were you really on mood altering meds!? Are they awesome?

I'm sorry, have the Yorks owned the 9ers since they were founded? I get it, you're embarrassed because you think the 9ers of Bill Walsh and Joe Montana are the same franchise of today. Why don't you crack a history book and get back to me?
That was the Debartelo era.
You know, CD/CD1/CD2, I just don't get it. 90 pct of the Lions' fanbase is uneducated, GED holding, white trash hayseeds too afraid to break their comfort zones and make something of themselves outside of Michigan? Don't they NFL gods know that they are more deserving than the immigrant ricers, nerds and athletic losers that compromise the 9ers fan base???

Wow, heaven forbid if the Raiders ever make another conference title game before the Lions do, JI can only imagine what CD/CD1/CD2 would have to say about the Duh's base.
Come on dummy, the Raiders fans have nothing in common with the people in SF. Raiders fans are the worker bees for the elites in SF. It's like what Jersey is to Manhattan. The fire fighters, teachers, garbage collectors, and waiters live in Oakland. They can't afford the shee-shee-foo-foo high rent of San Fran.
