on that list my vote is going for clark
Bless his heart, Jack calling 5-19 "mediocre" is being pretty damn charitable.
I was screaming defense early on but if this is the list give me BC head coach.
Clark is a defensive guy.
Not sold on Clark or Jones. Hell no the old tulane coach. Gran has never ran a program. Grobe is a close second nothing about him puts him over the top outside of name recognition.

Sounds like you're gonna be pretty unhappy with the hire
Have we interviewed TJ Cleveland?
Seriously, what is Mark Mangino doing? He turned Kansas into a 12-1 Orange Bowl champion.

Nevermind: He is the offensive coordinator at Iowa state.

He's out searching for a pair of scales that goes up to 500 lbs.

You have to look at what each coach would bring to the table along with how good of a coach they may be.

If a coach doesn't have the assistants along with his hiring, then it would not be a good move for us.

If a coach doesn't have the connections within the state and surrounding that is needed, it would be a step forward for us.
Well, it's Sunday night and the TV news reports that Jones, like Neal earlier, has withdrawn from the search. That leaves the three discussed above unless a new name surfaces. The 20th is a holiday & we are 2 weeks from Wednesday away from NSD. This is the kind of situation where having a lot of program funding would be nice. Lots of funding = lots of better choices.

Did Jones even interview? I thought he just ended the rumors by saying he was stating at USA . Also the ones that have been interviewed are all very well qualified. I am confident we will have someone named soon
Yes. He did interview. You can guess how it will be spun.
