Full Version: One problem I foresee for Ga State

As the season wears on, their starters are playing a lot of minutes and three point shooting demands fresh legs. By tournament time, they might be a little leg weary and not be able to hit the same percentage they've been hitting right now. It's possible a team who has been playing more players and are fresher can knock them off in the tournament. Or not.01-lauramac2

I don't buy that for a second. These are 20 year old kids who are in great shape. Reminds me of Stan "fresh legs" Heath.
I don't believe that either. The only thing that can stop them is an injury. College players are not too far remove from playing summer aau ball where they may play 3 games in one day.
With media timeouts about every thirty seconds, fatigue is not as much of a factor. The only way it might have an effect is that the more minutes played, especially late in games on tired legs, increases somewhat the chance of injury.
GSU has an assume team. Just hope they have an off 3 point shooting night when they come to the Jack on Feb 6th.
The recent rule change was made to order for GaState.

The rules didn't change (though ESPN loves talking like they did).
The practical effect definitely was a change. Big plus for drive/kick teams.
GaState is first out of the gate. A length and a half on the field. It is theirs to lose at this point.
