ASU is starting to get a bit desperate to find our 12th game. We've had something like 4 or 5 regional FCS teams turn us down. Now offering much bigger guarantee than usual.

"Arkansas State: Arkansas State is looking for an FCS opponent on opening weekend (August 30, 3 2014). A competitive guarantee is being offered. Interested contact: Rich Zvosec at 870-972-3005 or rzvosec@astate.edu."
just wow

I'm not surprised. We've beaten our last 4 FCS teams by an average of 60 points. SWAC and Southland schools will play cheaper money games, but not for that kind of beating.

I get a feeling we're going to end up playing a higher ranked FCS squad next year. Either that or a Savannah State type, whose just trying to keep their program afloat and will end up taking a record beating.

I wish we could give you guys our game with Arkansas-Pine Bluff. I don't mind scheduling FCS games, especially at the beginning of the year, but I would rather stick in state for those matchups. I would have rather gotten a Texas Southern or, even better, Incarnate Word University from San Antonio. Those schools would at least bring some of their own fans.

We just beat UAPB 62-11 this year. I doubt they have any interest in playing us again for a while.

I could settle for the 2nd best team in FCS I guess.
You play them, you better curb stomp them.

That would be a pretty tough match up, didn't they beat Oregon State this past year?
Choose an FCS program that needs the money.
Many have changed their schedules even after they are set
to play an FBS team. Believe Charleston Southern
did last year to play Colorado really late. They play
Point (never heard of them) end of August, so they might
be willing. If not follow the need for money.

Charleston Southern skipped a bye week to go to Colorado.

We're opening at University of North Carolina next year, but I would love to see us play ASU.

Charleston Southern already has 2 money games with Vanderbilt and Georgia.

Point is a DII. They used to be Atlanta Christian College but changed there name to Point University when they moved there main campus from East Point to West Point Georgia.

At least you will have one advantage over UNC.
