Look down the board.
Interesting that Army (#68) is ahead of 6 AAC schools.
No offense.. I just love the fact that this is one of the standard "smilies" for this board:

LOL at USF being worth almost as much as UCF and Cincinnati combined. Does that author think they own Raymond James Stadium?

Yes. Yes he does.

Quote:Brewer derives his valuations by considering long-term on-field performance, stadium size, state-by-state growth rates, cash flow, revenues and other factors.

He cares not that USF does not own the stadium.
Well that's just silly

Brewer’s work valuing college football programs the way Wall Street analysts value for-profit businesses.

And, I'll add, probably one of the major factors looked at when conferences decide on potential members.
Yep, it's such a major factor than Rutgers is going to one of the richest conferences despite being well below many AAC teams.

This list is a joke

Rutgers is a 'name school' that might add but certainly doesn't deplete the 'esteem' of a conference. That adds it's own value to conferences that makes their image one of their major concerns. The B1G is made up of a bunch of high academic minded institutions all with national names. Isn't it a requirement that to be invited to the B1G that you belong to an elite group of academic schools (the AAU? or something similar). I'd wager that's important also, at least for the B1G. Rutgers seems to fit the bill there. I can only guess they've been stuck in the BE so long because of their negatives. Notice that Notre Dame has none of those other Rutgers type issues and have been courted by probably every conference.

And I see no correlation at all between recent expansion and this list, if this was a major factor in determining conference expansion then why didn't USF or UConn go to P5 conferences before Rutgers, Maryland, Louisville or Pitt (or Missouri or TCU for that matter)? Why didn't Marshall, UTEP, FIU, or N Texas go to the AAC before ECU? Why are Louisiana Tech, WKU, and MTSU moving to C-USA over Troy? I doubt that this is even considered in conference expansion, and if it is it's only a minor consideration.
